Previous fault F02 is indicating an overheat fault- service manual says to replace main electronic control board. However, switching off at wall has reset the clock- you need to set the time before the oven will work-press middle button until small triangle is next to clock icon, set time using temperature dial. Once clock has ben set, try using oven to see if F02 fault reappears- sometimes switching off at wall will clear fault. Good luck!!

I have a westing house 509 fan force oven the fan turns off when i turn oven off but the element still goes and goes and goes why

This sound like a switch problem, when you say turned off is the element glowing because the oven light is not working, or it has to be switched off at the mains switch to stop heating, could you clarify.

I have just replaced the fan for this oven as it had stopped spinning. However it appears not to be the fan that has broken as the new one behaves the same. One important obserbvation is that when you...

Strange one this. According to the wiring and circuit diagrams, the yellow wire from the fan should go to contact 4 on the main oven switch. The oven element is connected to the thermostat, which in turn is connected to contact 3 on the oven switch. When the oven is on the handbook says that contacts 1,3 and 4 are made, contact 1 being the oven lights. So if the lights come on and the fan turns, the switch is more or less working. The only other thing that overrides the oven element is the thermal cutout. If you still have the problem, let me know what the thermostat neon is doing in all of this. It will be interesting to see what this is doing. Also, if you want the handbook which includes the diagrams, post your email address and I will send you a pdf copy.

I can't turn off the main fan oven?

Sounds like the oven thermostat is faulty, giving a permanent feed to the fan and element.
I would say that it is worth having it put right.
Hope this helps.

Stoves 720EF - main fan not working

When you say the main fan, do you mean the background cooling fan or do you mean the circulating fan in the bottom oven?
Do you have the handbook for this oven as the wiring diagrams are included in it. If you haven't, you can take a copy from my BT Digital Vault - all I need is an email address to register you.
Looking at the diagram, the power for the cooling fan comes via the timer board. If, as you say, the fan doesn't work at all, the timer board could have gone faulty.
