Sure they don't have power? Light breaks all the time on those things. If no power still, open it up and find out if there are any loose connections from the power leads. Bad power cable?

I I have the same problem. I do not see any visible damage with the power supply and am assuming it's somewhere else. I am talking to Alesis but don't yet know what I'll end up having to do. Have you solved the issue?

Hi one of my alesis m1 520 speakers has a fault . it powers up ok but theres hardly any sound coming out . you can hear it but its very low

Try reversing cables between speakers just to make sure it's not cable or source. If it is a bad soaker, you'll need to contact Alesis for a local service center near you. Check w/ Guitar Center also, they have access to service.

Question about replacing power supply (M1 active MKII)

The glue was most likely just to secure it in place. If you think it needs glueing in place then use a type that you think will hold it strongly in place.
The capacitors could have been given a higher rating for some reason, or it could be that the maker ran short of 220uf and fitted 330uf instead. To be honest I doubt if the extra 110uf makes a lot of difference. You could replace a 220uf with a 470uf one if you can get it in and it was the only one you had to replace a faulty one!

Woofer doesn't work

sounds like the voice coil could be open or damaged. the woofer can be reconed. reconing replaces all the moving parts in the speaker frame returning to new condition in most cases.

Alesis M1 Active Mk2 Speaker won't Power Up

Hi, This is usually the Capacitor C8 on the powerboard it usually bulges and pops, its becuase its right next to a resistor which gets very hot and sometimes puts the capacitor into meltdown, yours might have gone past that stage but this is worth a look; http://www.neufeld.newton.ks.us/electronics/?p=232

Hope this helps

Cheers

Alesis m1 mk2 active emits low pitch hum and does not work

You need to take a closer look really, see if anything on the power supply board inside has melted, burned, popped, etc.
