I purchased a Cote d' Azur watch & necklace set on a cruise ship recently, and can't seem to set the other three functions on the watch. There is only one pin but there are three addtional...

One of the dials should be seconds so you won't be setting that, the other two should be day and date, when you pull the stem and crown all the way out you can set the time there is a halfway setting ( pull the stem halfway out) if you turn one way it's the day of the week the other way is the date. Hope this helps! Also what appears to be a second hand on the dial a lot of times is actually a stopwatch.

I am a 11 year old boy. I bought one of theese watches on a criuse holland america. With my own money i spent $20 fof thatis a lot of money. I took great care of it and it just fell apart i was very...

Carnival Cruise Lines owns Holland America as a subsidiary. On board a Carnival Ship, items that are purchased in the gift shop are often guaranteed for some period for customer satisfaction. If I were you, I would write a letter (not a e-mail nor a text message) to the President of Holland America (Stein Kruse)
and I would tell my story to him. You can find the address at the Holland America web site. Tell him what ship you were on and the date. Tell him the make and model of watch you purchased. Tell him you had some amount of money to spend on the trip and you chose to spend it in the gift shop on the ship. Tell him exactly how the watch was treated and what happened. Tell him you were proud of the watch and had hoped to wear it for many years, as you told your friends where you got it and the good times you had on his ship. Offer to return it to him for inspection if necessary. You might want to enclose a decent picture of the watch for him to look at. Make sure you print your name and address on the back of the picture. If you and your parents often cruise, I would make mention of that as well. http://www.hollandamerica.com/about-best-cruise-lines/Main.action?tabName=Sustainability

Wait a reasonable amount of time for a response, 3 to 4 weeks I would estimate. If you don't get any response, drop him a line that you sent him a letter concerning your watch, give the date and maybe include a courtesy copy to cover the possibility that he didn't receive the first.

If you don't hear anything from him in a reasonable amount of time 2 to 3 weeks I would estimate, I would send a letter to Mickey Arison at Carnival (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micky_Arison).

I am absolutely sure you will hear something from either Holland America or Carnival if you follow my suggestion. If for some reason you don't hear back, send a followup to Mr. Arison and tell him you are disappointed; that you wrote with expectation of an offer of some kind of resolution (fill in the number of weeks ago that you started) and your disappointment is that it is not over a month or what ever and yo have not received the courtesy of any response.

I cruised with Mickey and his father on the inaugural of Destiny, though they don't know me. My Wife and I have sailed at least 7 times on several Carnival ships.

That is my advice to you my young friend.

I bought a watch from Norwegian cruise ship on Christmas day, but it didn't work properly. What am I suppose to do, can I still return it or where do I send it to be repaired? Thank you! Jessie

You should not have to fix a neew watch!

I think your first action should be to contact the shipping line or travel agent and complain.

You should be able to have a refund; any company worth of its salt should replace or refund without any hesitation.

Doesn't work, bought on cruise ship

mcdevito75 here, The battery could be dead, who knows how long the cruise ship had the watch in stock. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area for the battery change.

I bought a Park Lane Ladies watch on ebay it says quartz and was described in working condition i set the time pushed the pin in and nothing how do I get this to work

mcdevito75 here, If when you recieved the watch from ebay you had to push the crown in to get it going, we can assume a battery wa sin the watch, thus pushing in the stem (pin) should activate or start the watch. The battery could have gotton loose during shipping, Try pulling out the stem turning the hands as though to set the time, push the stem back in and see if the watch starts, if not, visit a small watch repair shop in your area for possibly a new battery.

How do I set the day on a Cote d' Azur watch I purchased on a Royal Carribbean Cruise

Are you shure you CAN set the date? Most of these watches are fake. I got one at a NCL cruise. For its price, it's fake. So it is not fully functionally. It only shows the time. The date mark is not real on my watch

Can't set day and date on cote d' azur watch

Actually I can't solve this. My son bought the same watch on a Carnival Cruise and had the same problem. Upun closer inspection with a magnifying glass, it is obvious that the hands on the day and date dials are fake!! They are just attached in the center to the watch face. The other two push knobs on the watch also do nothing at all. So basically a rip off, but at least it was only $20. At least it keeps time for now. As usual, if it seems to good to be true, it almost always is. Sorry about that, but we are in the same club with you.

I bought a cote d'azur watch and didn't comne withinstructions

if you take this watch apart and look at the backside, the side buttons are not connected. and there are NO workings for the "neet" time, date and hr hands, so the ONLY setting the watch has is the time. pop the back off and see for yourself, you can also buy these watches on EBAY for 5.00
good luck
