Phillips Go Gear 8G

If you have Vista, you have to go to Philips website and download the updated version of the Device Manager AND you have to update the firmware on the player. If the update stuck for 12 hours, the usual reason is that you were not connected to the internet at the time (although there are other possibilities).

Need the software download for windows vista we have phillips 512mb/mo audio player

Since you dont include model and there are several 512mb phillips mp3 player I wuold suggest you consult the phillips website under contact/support. If you havent done so already you will need to update your players firmware to work with Vista.

Philips Go Gear MP3/Video Player 2 GB (Model SA3125)

The Phillips Go Gear is not compatible to Windows Vista, and there is nothing one can download to make it compatible. I contacted Phillips, and they said that there are no plans to update the software so that it works on Vista. Pass this to everyone that is having a similar problem. Contact Phillips on their website, and request that the Phillips Go Gear software be updated to include Windows Vista. If more people raise a stink (especially threatening never to buy Phillips products), maybe something will be done.

Vista

go to the dell website, download the driver for windows XP, before installing the driver right click on the install icon, go to properties, securities and select "Run as Administrator". Now install the driver. This should allow you to run your driver and software. I have the 30 gig and it worked for me. good luck and I hope this helps.

Windows vista

You need to go to your mp3 players website and see if they have a driver that works in Vista. So far my Dell jukebox does not work in Vista since Dell did not complete the driver yet. It seems that there is alot of hardware and software that just does not work in Vista and hopefully in time we will be able to get the right drivers. Good thing Vista is only on my laptop. Keep checking the site for the updated driver.
