If you have the windows 7 upgrade disk, just put it in then follow the on-screen instructions. after upgrading, check the devices the do not longer run. go to their manufacturer's website and download drivers for windows 7. however, you need to have the windows 7-compatible network driver before you do the upgrade.

I have a HP m1160n, I installed windows 7 an II need three drivers. TV tuner, audio and ethernet. Any help?

Hi there
Sorry to hear you have a problem. Did you install windows 7 as an upgrade? If so, did you run the upgrade advisor before you upgraded? If you installed it as a new clean Operating System, did you check to see if your HP m1160n has drivers that will work with windows 7? I just went to the HP website to check for your drivers but it does not recognise the model you state M1160N. Go here http://welcome.hp.com/country/uk/en/support.html and put in all the numbers of all the stickers on the case or that look like HP. These maybe serial number, part number, model number, spares number until you get a match for M1160N. Then check to see if your drivers are available for Windows 7. If they are not you will need to install seperate new audio, network and TV tuner cards that er compatible with Windows 7.
All the best, Phil

Can I install Windows 7 over badly infected with drivers missing Windows X P? I'm trying to delete everything, but can't. I turned off my security system, but it comes back on and won't let me delete. I...

Hi,

To my knowledge you cannot upgrade from Windows XP directly to Windows 7. You will have to upgrade to Vista and then to 7. Also there are limitations as to which Windows 7 version (Home, Professional, Ultimate) you can upgrade to from certain Vista versions.

If you dont have any information / data on the PC that you mind loosing, i suggest a clean install of Windows 7 by booting up from the Windows 7 dvd and formating the HDD before the installation procedure.

Windows 7 has a host of built in drivers that will probably cover all of the devices that are present on your system. If not then you can always download the drivers from the manufacturers site for the items that fail to install automatically under 7.

Let me know how it goes.
