I have a Compaq Tc1000 Tablet PC. It has a 802.11b WLAN miniPCI that is functioning (light is flashing and neighbours wireless LAN is being found) but my own wireless is not being seen even though my PC is using it. Any ideas what to set/check/install to rectify this. Thanks
You should enable adhoc mode in wireless settings.
Had the same problem a while back. You need to reload the drivers from Compaq/HP for the wireless LAN card. Go to the Compaq/HP website and download drivers for the wireless card, reinstall the drivers and when you are done the card should start functioning again.
Some older tablets have trouble with newer security systems. I reset my linksys router and my tc1000 stopped seeing it. My tc1100 still works fine. I'll put it back later as the higher security must be the problem, same tc1000, same router, other systems are still picked up. Try to reinstall the router security settings.

I have the language setting set for English, but when the keyboard comes up on the tablet, it's not in English, and English is not an option in the upper left corner. Is there a way to fix this?
