How do i upload recordings from my zoom to my computer?

are you sure the camera can do sound because some cameras cant

you could upload it to a converter site. zamzar is free and works great

you need to record louder by raising the input level or getting closer to the microphone. you can also raise the level afterwards using normalization, compression or gain adjustment.

I have a H4 but not that problem. Have you tried recording when the H4 is charged? My guess is when low on battery, the H4 doesn't record.

please go to the camera setup option and change the output mode to USB....... connect the camera again to the computer and transfer your file ....

Most of the time you have to convert the wav files to another format Such as MP3 or WMP. there are converters available for this purpose online.Google audio converters. Maybe you will find one that you can afford . Or even find freeware.

if you are using a Mac running Leopard (Sys 10.5), you need to upgrade the H4  firmware from Zoom website

You will need an external SD card reader.
Once you do this, you can them plug in the Zoom to the mac with a usb cable, then select Connect to PC with the jog wheel.
The disc should show up on you desktop, and then you can download the files - (Should be in the folder marked STEREO)

Are you using Vista? I've posted another threat here (still no answer), cause I can't get Vista to recognize H4 as Audio I/O. I've also sent a mail to Zoom in Japan. They answered in english thanks god, telling me to upgrade the soft in H4, I can now move files to the computer, but still can't get Vista to recognize H4 as an Audio I/O, I mean, in record devices, Vista shows "camera mic and line in", that's all.
