How do you remove it so you can replace the sink

To remove the diposal, do this:

Turn off the power to the disposal first

Under the sink disconnect the wiring to the disposal - this requires removing a cover and usually a couple of wire nuts. Then loosen and pull the connector out, replacing the wiring nuts after you do that. Some disposals are pluigged in under the sink. If your is, just unplug it.

Under the sink, disconnect the drain pipes to the trap

To remove the disposal, there is a keeper ring with three loops protruding from the sides directly under the sink. Note the position of the disposal under the sink so when you put it back, the drain pipes will fit again. Insert a short phillips screwdriver or pin punch into one of the loops. Support the disposal under it, then rotate the ring counterclockwise. The disposal should come loose. Be careful - they can be a little heavy.

If the clips are plastic you will have to snap them off. the metal ones you might have to cut them off. With the old sinks, when the screws were broken or rusted you would have to cut the clips. NO Easy job.

Remove paint with stripper maybe, otherwise Replace sink is only solution.
The etching and paint process for applying coatings to sinks and tubs is temporary fix, and will only last a year or two.
Report problem to landlord since he may have gotten a warranty on paint product, but don't wait for a magic cure to appear, because this is not magic, it's a failed paint job and paint has to be removed or sink replaced.

Can I get the directions on the disc replacement
It really simple. First, you need the replacement disc. I have one extra that I purchased on ebay. You will need I screw driver called torx to remove stews on rear of unit. Once you remove cover, remove fans from heat sink (fined structure.) Now, locate wire connector on mother board for heat sink and disconnect. With a phillips screwdriver, remove four screws holding sink to unit. Remove heat sink being careful to route wires and connector out of passage way in cabinet. Use your camera phone to take pictures of the unit each step of the way in case you forget how to reassemble. Next, remove the four screws from the smaller square heat sink that was facing inward in unit (cooling side.) These screws may have sealant covering the phillips heads. Separate the two heat sinks and you will see the cooling disc saneiched between. You will have to cut the wires on the old disc to save the white connector to the mother board. Cut, splice, and solder the new disceires to the connector you saved. Replace everything and that's it. Mine works great.

Shut off water supply Under Sink: · Unscrew brass connector for spayer hose · Disconnect single water line to faucet bysqweezing lever on connector and Gently pulloff. · Loosen two screws on faucet base washers thenunscrew the washers on thebrass faucet shaft ( NOTE: Have someone hold the fauct so it does Not accidentlyfall in sink when the support washers are removed) · Take faucet out of sink · Unscrew brass collar at base and remove · Remove Set Screw on lower body of faucet · Pull out Brass Mechanism from faucet · The Diverter is located in the Brass mechanism · Remove the Washer · Pull off the small top valve in center of theDiverter, if still there · Using a large wood screw that fits/screw intothe exposed hole In the center of The plasticdiverter, screw it in and pull out the remaing part of the old diverter · Flush out Faucet to remove any remaining debrie · Replace with new diverter and replace washer · Grease all areas that where greased when mechanismwas removed Remove & clean the faucet Airrater and replace only afterEVERYTHING has been Completed soyou can flush the faucet out again into the sink, then replace.

Remove the base of a pedestal sink.
There are two bolts on either side of the sink. Remove them and lift the sink off of the base. Sometimes, depending on who installed it, you can slide the base out without removing the sink. Hope this helps.

Replacing The IC's
Use a digital camera to take pictures of the chassis. Review the pictures to see if they can be used to reassemble the wiring plugs or restore the wire tie up positions. Remove the three screws that are located on the front edge of the chassis. After removing wires from their tie up positions or disconecting plugs the goal is to move the chassis into a position to expose the bottom side. Find a place to tie up the chassis using a piece of wire to one of the back screws to anchor this position. Use fresh solder wick and a 60Watt iron to remove the heat sink solder tabs switch to a 25 to 30 watt iron to remove the solder on the STK392-560 ic's. Remove the ic's from the heat sink and apply fresh heat sink grease before mounting the new ic's to the heat sink. Line the pins uniformly on the ic's if needed to install the ic/heat sink assembly. Use a flashlight or lamp to make it easier to see if the pins line up. Twist the solder tabs on the heat sink to secure it's position. Make shure all pins are present to solder in place on the bottom side.
