Model DLG2532W no heat, lint not an issue, circuit breakers OK, gas service OK. What could be the issue?

Either a wire has come loose in the back or on the cord itself or hopefully not the element is burnt out.

Try resetting your circuit breaker. Look for lint buildup in your vent and your lint filter housing. If you see excess lint you might have a tripped safety or a blown duct fuse. Get a cheap meter and check each of the safety components and the air temp control stats for continuity. Check the heating element. If all of those check good then check the timer. If the timer is ok then power from the wall might not be there for heat. The motor works on 120 volts but the element needs 240 volts on electric models. On gas models your flame sensor, ignitor, or solenoid coils are suspect as well as the limits and safetys just as on an electric model. More here

Make sure front of dryer is not blocked, air flow is needed to dry.Check that the lint filter and exhaust duct is clean.

Check the blown fuses and home’s circuit breaker tripped. Dryer use 2 household Fuses or a circuit breakers, Replace the Fuses or reset the circuit breaker.

Another common cause of a dryer failing to heat is a faulty Heating Element. You will need to replace it.

Select a heat setting other than Air Fluff.

Make sure gas supply is on for gas dryer, Clean the lint filter and exhaust duct.

Things to check, if these are all ok you will need to find a service company to come out and take a look unless you are really handy and have a good multimeter to do some testing. If so I would be happy to walk through some things to check.

- If it is an electric dryer check the fuses and or circuit breaker, one fuse or one leg of the breaker could be tripped and the motor still run.

- If it is a gas dryer make sure no one has accidentally turned the gas valve off to the dryer.

- Check the venting ( this would apply if you are getting some heat but not drying or taking too long to dry)

Before you do anything, be sure to check ALL your duct work. If you duct work is blocked, it will cause the unit to shut off the heat. Start by removing the duct, remove all lint from the exit at the machine, and remove all lint from the duct itself. Then inspect the duct at the wall for blockage both inside and outside the house.

More than likely you have a burned up heating element. There is a remote possibility that you have a blown circuit breaker or fuse in your house. The blower is wired for and only requires 120 volts but the heater element requires 220 volt service. Usually there are two circuit breakers in your house breaker or fuse panel that provide power for the dryer. One of them may be tripped/blown and the other one may be ok..still on...and providing power to the blower. So...check to make sure there is not a blown fuse or circuit breaker tripped. This is the easy solution if it applies but probably the heating element is bad and will need replacing.

I had same issue and cleaned out all lint from the entire cavity of the dryer. Fixed the problem.

dryer working and heating properly, when cycle complete all my clothes smell like gas though. Any suggestion
