You need to replace the SSB [small signal board] I don't beleive warranty work will cover this. Reach into your pockets for this one! Sorry!

Testimonial: "would u have one of these ssb and how much do they cost"

I do not have one in stock. But you may seek Vance Baldwins on the internet tho! Price could be 200 bucks. Don't remember at this time. You may find one at the Parts Store.com too!

We have a 48 inch Philips LCD TV. We've had it approximately 14 months. The picture started going out but we still had sound. If you turned it off it would come back on. Then the other night it...

The power supply module or the backlights inverter board may have burnt out. Shop repair will run you $150 and up plus parts.
14 months old is really bad, I would contact Philips to see if they willing to repair it under warranty, you may not be the only one with this model with early failure.

Philips 42PFL3603 tv sound but no picture.

Hold a flash light to the screen after it goes off and see if you can see a faint picture. Sounds like your backlight might be cutting off. Repair can be expensive but some of the newer units don't require the entire LCD to be replaced.

Screen stock on Software Upgrade Application

First of all the software update may not have been done yet, when tv's go through an update (depending on which update) the set can turn it's self off and seem to be done, but you need to wait it out and the set will turn it's self back on, Wait it out for about 30 minutes before doing anything. be paitent. UNPLUGGING THE SET CAN DAMMAGE THE TV DURRING A SOFTWARE UPGRADE!!!

If after a LONG period of time try unplugging the set and re-setting the micro. But only as a last resort!

If the upgrad failed and you can't get the set to function properly you need to change the ssb board. If the set is in waranty, waranty should cover this.

LG TV completely dead

Hi,

I'll think your power supply is down.
Since your tv is 15 month old, you've still got waranty left.
Just contact you supplier or LG service.

Kind regards,
Gerard

Red blinking led

My 42" Philips LCD did the same red blinking sequence last night. All was seemingly fine after unplugging it for a bit. An online search, though, has me worried that this may be the start of (potentially fatal) power supply issues. Anyone have a clue what that sequence means?

I've got one week left on my 1yr waranty, so I'm a bit concerned! :(

Thanks!
