CANON A70 CAMERA

Hi,
It is known problem of ccd imager failure in Canon A70 camera and ccd imager will be replaced to get live view in camera mode to take fresh pictures.

I think your Canon A70 camera does not show live view in camera mode to take pictures but show you previously stored picture properly in playback mode.
If that is true then Canon A70 camera got problem of bad ccd imager that will be replaced to get live vew in camera mode.

Understand how you feel, I love my A75 too. But forgive me if this seems obvious, but did you try pressing the DISP button on the back of the camera with the camera turned on? If so, next have you tried downloading your pictures to view them on your computer? Are they also black like your screen? If so, the problem may be a defective CCD imager. Take a picture and download it to your computer. If the picture also shows up as black then your camera probably has a defective CCD imager.
