I have a Pioneer DEH-240F which I can't use right now because the faceplate connector in the receiver side was damaged during attempted theft. The 12 pin connector (6 on each side) was crooked thereby rendering the connection in vain. Is there anyway I can fix the damaged PIN connectors? Where can I buy for that particular part to make my receiver working again?

Best bet, find a non working pioneer with the same plug and salvage it. try repair shops or ebay.

How do i detach the faceplate of a pioneer deh-p3700mp car stereo?

Normally it is the button on the top left or bottm right of faceplate. it will spring the faceplate out at an angle, then you just pull off.

My pioneer deh-p8450mp is opening and closing/switching on and off contiuously. help

Hey sparrow, sorry you didn't get an answer to this sooner, mine just started doing the same thing. After fidling and dismantling for an hour or so I think I have diagnosed it to being the ribbon cable which comes from the circuit board to the front most control panel is cracked (i.e. the cable that connects to the connectors on the removable face plate) When the panel attempts to open fully the ribbon cable is flexed enough to lose connections making the unit think the faceplate has been removed and so attempts to close...when it closes the connectors retouch causing it to think it needs to reopen....this is a nasty design flaw for a unit that cost me $1500 (admitedly 10 years ago but it was in a box in the cupboard for 8 of those years) !!!! Now any chance I can source this $2 part .....eek

The front right side of the screen is flickering

Its a lil pricey but its actually an issue with the faceplate...the display has to be replaced. Its a common problem on the pioneer decks with the motorized faceplates. look on ebay for just a faceplate.

Unit powers down when faceplate attempts to go to open position

Same thing happened to me twice.

Its the crappy ribbon cable that connects the faceplate to the head unit.

Its only about $12 (USD) from Pioneer directly.

It comes with instructions, its not that difficult.

Best of Luck.
