While the time is displaying on watch press & hold the set/indiglo or top left button on watch. The seconds should start to flash.

Press the mode or bottom left button until the hour digits start to flash.

Press top right or start/stop button to advance the hour. Then press top left or set/indiglo button to exit set mode.

Hello,
This is because you have reversed am with pm.
Set your watch 12 hours back and the problem should be solved.
You might want to wait till midnight or noon to check it's fine.

Note: if you see the day shows the previous day rather than the present day, you have to set the clock 24h ahead.

Timex has two ways to find information about your particular watch. Some of these models only have a guide consisting of a few pages. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:

Setting Timex 1440 sports watch

mcdevito75 here, For now, you need to know 2 buttons, the MODE and SET buttons, First press the MODE button, you may have to hold it in 2--3 seconds, see the display Blinking, now press the SET button for each function, (hour, minute etc). press MODE after each function is set, after all is set Press MODE for steady display. All buttons don't work can;t put watch ahead one hour none of the four function buttons want to work watch is 6 months old . I don;t have receipt..

If you haven't got instructions, you can get them from the Timex web site "timex.com".

At the bottom of the screen click on "manuals/downloads", then on "product
manual download"

Enter your watch type in the search box and click on "search"

I put a new battery in my timex WR50M and it is an hour ahead on

With the time showing, hold down the set button for about 3 seconds - it should switch to the city display. Use the receive/start/stop button to select your city (probably CHI) and press set again to save.
