Brada dishwasher ef2401 wont start wash cycle

E2 - Abnormally long drain time. Check to make sure that the drain line is not obstructed or bent in a way that restricts water flow. Make sure the drain line is routed below the height of the dishwasher and that it has not been extended. This will inhibit the ability of the drain function to operate properly.

Door latch.
Make sure door is closed and properly latched.

Delay start option.
If delay start option is available, has it been set and is unit still in time delay before starting.

Cycle setting.
Check to see if cycle is set correctly (refer to Operating Instructions in the "Use & Care Manual").

If you have set the unit to heated water or your hot water is not hot will delay the wash cycle. The heater in the dishwasher is very slow!

A delay automatically occurs in some wash and rinse cycles
until the water reaches the proper temperatur

me too- i manually close it but from time to time the latch will not come on done

BUT, the repair manual says this

Faulty Pump and Motor Assembly Some models that will not wash or drain often have a faulty Pump and Motor Assembly. If the motor is receiving power from the timer and it is not operating that is the case.
Temporary Work-around:
With the power turned off to the unit, sometimes it is possible to manually rotate the cooling fan on the motor assembly. In certain situations where the dishwasher has set idle for a period of time, this may free the bearings enough that the unit will begin to operate. Where this works as a short term solution in some cases, it is often a sign of things to come. The frequency of the motor seizing will increase until it will simply no longer work.

I think this is a hands job that needs service and hands on attention!
I hope it's not the motor or pump!

How old is the machine?
If they tell you it is an expensive motor then you need to know this!!!!

I just moved in to a new house with brada dishwasher, everytime I used the water leeks from the bottom, can somebody help me to fix it, or do you think I should throw it away and get a new one.

We actually had the same problem with our Brada dishwasher. There is a plastic clip inside the door that latches on to the dishwasher to keep the door closed. In our case this clip had flipped inside the door (periodically continues to happen to this day). To resolve we took the door apart - carefully - and flipped the clip back into proper position. You can only do this if the dishwasher is not under warranty as once you take it apart you will likely void the warranty on it.

My manual says: 1- Close door. 2- Select cycle. 3- Press delay. 4- Push Start/Cancel. (As soon as start/cancel is pressed, the flashing should stop and the delay time will begin).
