If the two lights are flashing alternately you your waste ink pads are probable full and need changing You normally get a warning to say that the some of the parts in your printer have come to the end of their life you have to take it to an Epson service centre to have new ink pads fitted and your printer seset.
If you have confidence in yourself you could remove your waste ink tray and clean the pads and replace them this will save you about £50 but it is a bit messy once finished get the reset utility for your printer and reset the waste ink counter

Check the status monitor on the PC, this will tell you the error. If service error it need the wast ink pad counter resetting

I hope this will help you :)
* Green Power light flashes- The printer is receiving a print job, replacing an ink cartridge, charging ink, or cleaning the print head.
* RED paper light is On- If the CD/DVD try guide is open, close the CD/DVD tray guide, load paper, then press the paper button. Your paper ran out or multiple sheets loaded at the same time . Load paper and press the paper butoon to resume printing.
* RED paper light flashes- Paper is jammed in the printer. Press the paper button to eject the jammed paper. If the light is still flashing , open the cover and remove all paper, including any jammed or torn pieces. Then reload paper and press the paper button to continue printing.
* RED Ink Light Flashes - One or more cartridges are low on ink. Check the message that appears on your screen to determine which cartridge is low, or follow the instructions in " Checking the Ink Supply". Make sure you have a replacement cartridge.
* RED Ink Light is ON- One or more cartridges are out of ink or not installed. If you have just installed a new cartridge, it may be incomaptible with the printer or incorrectly installed. Reinstall it or replace it with the correct cartridge
* RED Ink and RED paper lights flash alternately- The CD/DVD tray guide was left open when you turned on the printer or when printing on paper. Just simply close it/
* Green Power Light is Off; RED paperand RED Ink Lights flashing- Paper may be blocking movement of the print head. Turn off the printer, then open the cover and remove any jammed paper or other foreign objects. Turn the printer back on again. Or it may have an internal error. Turn off the printer, wait a few seconds, then turn it on again.

BOTH RED LIGHTS FOR INK AND PAPER ARE FLASHING NO PAPER STUCK RE-BOOTED SEVERAL TIMES
can you post the message from the printer status, i guess your printer need to reset the counter waste ink pad, for reset that problem you will need software reset.

Both red lights are flashing on epson stylus c66. I saw some responses that said to reset ink counters. Not sure how to reset ink counters...
well it shall depend on your operating system. there is an available download on the epson website and it is called the ink pad reset utility. if this process tends to detect and install your printer it will work again

Hi, epson c66 has 2 red lights on. no paper stuck and cant move the cartridges to change. any idea

your printer's ink waste pads are full and the counter needs resetting Try this site and software

It allows resetting of the counters, and gives much more control over cleans etc. (Also will allow cleaning when the red Ink light is flashing)

Both the ink and paper feed button are flashing (Epsom c66 printer)
check for a paper jam or an ink cartridge jam which was not properly aligned. usually thse are reasons. also check your ink levels and never touch the part of the ink cartridge connected to the printer. just keep pressing cancel or X, cancel the documents, then load another paper then press on start copy. this should work.

Turn the printer off. Open up the cover and check for any obstructions inside the printer. Double check if the ink cartridges are properly plugged in and the tray cover is closed. Turn the printer back on. If you still see the error message, it means that you are having a hardware issue. Then try to contact Epson Technical Support.

Epson stylus 880 printer
"Turn the printer on while holding down both the ink and paper buttons. When the paper light flashes release both buttons", then hold down the ink button for approx. half a minute until the printer lights flash again then release it. That resets the printer.”

If your having an error that says "Parts inside the printer are at the end of there Service life" it means that you ink pad is full/ what you can do is change your ink pad and then download an ink pad reset utility so that you can reset the settings/ Make sure to change ink pad before you reset it becuase ink will leak if you don't change it. For the flashing lights, try to check for obstructions inside the printer if not, make sure that ink clicked in and the cover for the tray is closed
