My z4 is 4 years old 1600 hours on the lamp. Recently I began to notice that the color was not uniform on the screen. It was reddish on the left and blue on the right of the screen when watching any material.
I confirmed with a white pattern this was indeed the case and sent it to sanyo. They have replied that the "lamp assembly" requires replacement for $650.00! I have asked for clarification to what this part is and how it will correct the problem but as of yet have not had a reply. I do not believe it is simply the lamp as I do not think that it is that price.
Does anyone know what that part is and will it fix the issue?
