We recently installed a new replacement router WRT 160N V3 and something called Network Magic keeps interupting and trying to sell their service. We keep canceling them and then the router does not work and we have to revert to direct hookup. Is Network Magic the culpret. We cannot seem to get rid of them.

Hello,

To clear out the problem if Network Magic has something to do with your connection.

1) Uninstall Network Magic from host computer.

2) Remove Ethernet connections to router.

3) Reset the router (press & hold reset button for at least 15 secs.)

4) Run Setup wizard on host computer and follow on screen instructions on connecting PC to router.

5) Setup wizard prompts on installing Network Magic, just ignore it.

6) if it automatically installs Network Magic just uninstall the program before you fully use your router.

Resetting router clears all settings made by Network Magic application made on the router.

Hope this helps.

Contant need top reboot the program

Do a wireless scan on your computer and out how many wireless access is in your neighborhood. More than likely that your router is sharing the same wireless channel number as your neighbor's. Go to your router and cheange to opposite of what your neighbor is on.
