Kitchenaid Superba Whisper Quiet Ultima: It won't drain. I returned from a trip to find a puddle of water in the basin/reservoir, which usually drains during a normal wash/dry cycle. Now it'll shoot out more water, washing the current load of dishes, but isn't draining. Moreover, the ''rinse aid empty'' lite is illuminated. What can/should I do? Thank you for any help! -dan

We have the exact same issue with 3 different plumbers taking a look, Roto Rooter doing a pipe cleaning job, and the issue still remains. It's been occurring for the past 2 years with no solution. Help!

Not familiar with that model, but one time I found a baby sock jamming the water outlet in a dishwasher, so check to make sure there's no foreign object blocking any exits. Other than that, I suspect it will need to be serviced, or at least taken apart for further inspection.

I have a KitchenAid Whisper Quiet Ultima Superba and the Child Lock came on flsshing. My model has no locks listed.

There are several touch pad buttons that could activate the Child Lock feature on a Kitchenaid dishwasher. To toggle off the lock, try pressing and holding the 4-hour delay dry or the energy saver dry key pads for 4+ seconds. The Energy Saver Dry is used for the Child Lock on the Kitchenaid KUDS25SHWH1. This manual is here: https://c.searspartsdirect.com/mmh/lis_pdf/OWNM/L9050329.pdf . The 4-hour delay or Control Lock options are listed in this manual: https://www.kitchenaid.com/content/dam/global/documents/201605/owners-manual-W10596243-RevD.pdf . If neither of these steps work, you may have a problem with the keypad, the wiring between the keypad and the control board or the control board itself.

Please add a comment with the model of the dishwasher if you'd like me to try and find the parts list/diagram. If the machine is under warranty, you may want to contact Kitchenaid.

I hope this helps.

My dishwasher drawer is not draining the water well after the dishes are washed and then is smells. How can unclog the drain so that it will drain? the filter is clean.

The pump may be worn so it doesn't pull all the water out.
Or a bad check valve so it allows water back into the washer after it was sucked out

I have a Kitchenaide Whisper Quiet Ultima dishwasher. It will come on, but no water comes in. Is there a reset button or something that may be clogged?

Are you able to provide the model no. of your dishwasher please.

NO water coming in could be either due to water inlet solenoid not working, the controller not working or the flood switch being triggered.

Need the actual model no. to confirm likely situation.

My KitchenAid Superba (whisper quiet ultima) started to leak out the front when it is running. Is this an easy repair or should we think of replacing the dishwasher? BTW - we love this dishwasher!

Hello. If the unit is over ten years old, I advise against repair. But if you do wish to consider repair, here are the things to look at

Main tub seal Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you. But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the entire pump and motor assembly. The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher, remove the: Lower rack Spray arm Spray arm support Wash/drain impellers Then pry the seal out of its housing and replace it. Door gasket or seal Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak. Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten or repair/replace these as necessary. The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher, and replace the valve. Hoses Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

Kitchenaid superba disposal

IF THE WATER IS NOT IN THE BASIN OF THE DISPOSAL, THE PLUMBING IS THE PROBLEM, NOT THE DISPOSAL.
YOU CAN TRY TO TAKE THE TRAP LOOSE AND SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING STUCK IN IT OR YOU COULD TRY SOME DRANO IN THE SINK WITH THE WATER STANDING IN IT. THE TRAP IS THE PART OF THE DRAIN THAT RAISES UPWARD TO HOLD WATER. IT KEEPS THE SEWER GASSES FROM COMING UP THROUGH, BUT IT ALSO IS A GOOD CATCH ALL FOR HEAVY ITEMS AND GREASE.
LOOSEN THE NUT LOCATED AT EACH END OF THE TRAP. HAVE A BUCKET UNDER IT TO CATCH ANY WATER THAT DRAINS OUT. REMOVE THE TRAP AND SEE IF THERE IS AN OBSTRUCTION IN IT.PRESSURIZED AIR WILL SOMETIMES CLEAR AN OBSTRUCTION IN A DRAIN LINE ALSO,
