It sounds like there is a connection being made on the data pins, this then puts the unit into usb mode, the unit is then trying to connect to the computer that the connection is telling it is there. You might have to buy another power cord, but is it possible that you grabbed the wrong cord? The cord you are using now is for something else? Might could happen, cords all look the same now.

My mio 320 is stuck on transfer mode when connected to charger it thinks its connected to computer

I've had a lot of issues w/ the operation of my MIO C320, including this problem ... but ONLY whenever I tried using any other mini-USB cords (like from my phone or Garmin GPS chargers), with my MIO C320. There's something unique about the mini-USB pin-out configuration MIO uses that allows you to either charge or update their units (using the transfer function), using MIO's supplied mini-USB cables. (I've labeled my MIO cord as "MIO GPS", on a piece of masking tape wrapped around the cord.) I'm trying to recall whether the MIO's cords worked properly w/ all of my other devices, and I can't think of any that did NOT function properly. So, maybe you could experiment and - if that's the case w/ your devices also - avoid further issues by keeping JUST the MIO's charger in your vehicle?. Sorry this is so late, but I hope it helps! Cheers, The Foxxx

How can i update my mio digi walker c520??

The Users Manual and Support for MIO DigiWalker C520 is here.

I noticed this thread had been read 66000 times there:

onepixel.gif onepixel.gif Question: Is there a map update available for my C-series device?
Answer: We are working on newer map updates with Mio More Express software for C-series devices: C220/S, C320, C520, C720t. The products are in DVD media because the big size is not practical for download. Pleasse check back with Mio support later while slight USB driver issue is under investigation.

MIO DIGIWALKER NOT TURNING ON

I have fixed my son's unit twice with the same problem ove the last 18 months.
First remove the 4 screws from the corner on the back.
Then gently pry the back off being careful of the speaker wires attached to the main board.
You can't miss the battery as it's the biggest thing there. Follow the wires to the plug which will probably be hidden under a piece of black tape. Unplug the battery and let it stand for 10 minutes. Plug the battery back in and reassemble!
