I have a Toshiba M55-S3315 Laptop I don't remember the password

Yikes. I'm not calling you a thief, but 99% of the time when you encounter a computer with a password on the hard drive and the possessor of the computer does not know the password, the computer is stolen.

If it is the Windows password, try downloading ERD Commander. It has a utility called locksmith that you can use to change the password or set it to nothing.

Download this ISO file (PCLoginNow) burn it to a CD
Boot from the CD and follow the onscreen instructions to delete the password.
Remember to check the box for Password is empty, and the Box for Password never expires.
When you reboot tap a key to bypass the disc check it tries to perform if you want a faster bootup.
Your password is now clear, you can safely enter Windows.

If this is a bios password, google "laptop bios password bypass"
Depending on your make, this can be quite hard to fix

Press F8 before the Windows boot screen appears. Do not press F5 as used on the NT/9x series of Windows. You will be be prompted with a boot options menu.

3Select the Start Windows in Safe Mode option.

4Click through several self-explanatory screens until your reach the familiar 'Welcome' screen.

• Note that this welcome screen is limited to 256 colors and 640x480 resolution because the primary graphics will have been set to the Windows Safe Mode software VGA adapter. You will not be able to change this mode even in Display options, while Windows is running in Safe Mode.

5Find the icon for the Administrator user. If the default settings of your system haven't been changed, there should be no password for this account.

6The Safe Mode Welcome screen might display some of the other users on your system.

7Login as the admin.

8Press Yes at the prompt asking if you would like to continue using Safe Mode.

9Continue on to the User Settings control panel. Here you can change any of the other passwords for user on the machine. Make any changes you want.

10Reboot your computer. As long as you don't press any keys (i.e. F8) during the boot-up the computer will startup normally.

11Login as the user for which you set the password.

12If it doesn't work above, you can try to use professional support recommendation OPHCrack (freeware) to crack your windows password without erasing anything

the passoword bios for laptop is difference with pc, with pc u only remove battery cmos but with laptop when u create password it save to chipset so u much remove chipset in motherboard and get back new chip u much know electric and have chipset. i think u much take to center prepaid them have the machine to do that

Your Screen LCD has been damaged and it needs to be changed.

Have you tried a new battery? They are much much cheaper, and a whole lot easier to replace than a motherboard.

According to Toshiba, there has been a battery recall for your specific model.
If that is the case I would definitely contact Toshiba support about it. Maybe you will get a free battery out of the deal. Who knows.
