Program says dvd+r incompatible with toshiba dvd player

Some DVD players will read 'DVD-R' ("minus-R") disks.
Some DVD players will read 'DVD+R' ("minus+R") disks.
Some DVD players will read "both" types of disks.

So, if you're burning onto a DVD+R disk, you won't be able to "play" the disk on your Toshiba DVD-player.

Instead, buy "blank" DVD-R disks, and write on them.

Hitachi dvd player not reading all dvds

Hello, I'm here try and help your problem, first older DVD players only read certain disc formats, If you have your owners manuel to your DVD player it will tell you what types of discs the DVD player will play. There are seneral types of burnable disc's DVD -, DVD +, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, please looking in the owners manual for the types of discs that the player will read, also in the same secton it will tell the types of formats that it will read DVD Video, DVD ROM, and there is a few others, Next is when you burn DVD's the type of burner you have makes a difference. You will need to find out what format your DVD burn, burns to disc, some of the newer DVD players
read alot of the formats. I would start by finding out what your DVD burns first, then I would suggest buying a DVD player that will read that format. If you have anyother questions please feel free to post them, Thank You and have a great day.

The dvd player does not read every cd or dvd.

No-disc errors are usually caused when the DVD or the laser-lens pickup has become dirty and causes the DVD player to not be able to read the DVD.

DVD Recorder/Player..Not Reading Dvd's,Takes 1-2 Minutes, Then Nothing

Try cleaning the lenses with a cotton swab and alcohol. Other than that the only option is to replace the optics assembly.

My DVD player no longer plays original dvd's - only copied dvd's

some times when you create DVD movies by high speed DVD writers, your data cannot be read by dvd player with high performance. it s due to speed mismatching. always write DVDs with Normal speed in order to use with DVD players. while in case oof PC-DVD -Rom it does not happens. it can read any high speed wriiten DVDs. DVD-Rom in PC are more precise than DVD players. Some times Weak DVD player Lens system can also mis read.
