I believe you might have a K-Deck model. If you enter "Panasonic K-Deck" into google you should find a loads of information including how to get a stuck tape out. If you can't post a message here and I can E-Mail it you.
HO2 on these decks means "Tape did not withdraw when unloading" the cause either the capstan motor, timing or mode switch.
daer this error C:31:23 is related to the s reel and this occurs only when the tension of the tape is more, solution: 1 st try to change the tape if the problem persists then u need to take it to the service center as the tape path of the mechanical section is to be adjusted as you are telling that your camcorder is not showing remaining time (time code ) then head assy. also need to be cleaned ..try to use cleaning tape for 10 sec. not more then that .
1) Press the 'tape' symbol to access the answering machine mode.
2) Press 9 then 1 for 'answer and record'.
3) Whe you hear a 'beep' speak your message. Whilst recording the display shows REC OGM1 or REC OGM2
4) Press 5 to stop recording. Your message is played back to you
5) Press 'tape' symbol to exit.
To check your Out Going Message (OGM)
1) Press 'tape' symbol
2) Press 6 then 2 and the message is played back.
There is either some damage to the mechanism or the mode switch is faulty. If you know what to look for taking the top cover off might show what part of the mechanism is damaged.
If it is the mode switch then it will need to be replaced. This can't be done without the service manual as the vcr needs to be set up. And they are never set up in the eject position.
Try this :
If your VCR malfunctions, try the following steps prior to contacting your Mitsubishi Dealer:
1 Check the Trouble Checks below to see if there is a solution to the current problem that you are
experiencing.
2 If the problem is not addressed on the Trouble Checks, the safety circuits in the VCR may be in
operation, thus please try the following: (the clock setting and the timer recording will be deleted.)
1 If possible, press EJECT on the front panel and remove the tape.
2 Press TIMER RESET on the rear panel with a pencil or a ball point pen.
3 If a tape is not loaded, press POWER to turn the power on. If a tape is loaded, wait about 1 minute
until the tape protecting function is completed, then press POWER.
3 You may also try the following procedure if the above steps did not resolve the problem (All settings will
be reset to the default settings.).
1 Press POWER on the front panel continuously for about 8 seconds until the current time display on
the front panel shows "- : - -."
2 If a tape is not loaded, press POWER to turn the power on. If a tape is loaded, the tape protecting
function will work and "99" will appear on the front panel display to begin count down. Wait about 1
minute until it reaches "00" to show the tape protecting function is completed, then press POWER.
If the problem with your VCR persists, contact your Mitsubishi dealer for assistance.
Press the Return button and the machine will automatically print the size the tape will allow! :)
Title: What does the error message "CHR SIZE AUTO?" mean?
Description:This message appears when the selected character size is too large for the width of the tape cassette installed.
You have the following options:
Press the "Print" or "Return" key to allow the P-touch machine to automatically select the maximum character size that fits the tape width.
Press the "BS" key to clear the message, and then install a wider tape cassette.
Press the "BS" key to clear the message, and then select a smaller character size by following these steps:
While holding the "Code" key, press the "Size" key. The display will show the current character size.
Keep the "Code" key held, and press the "Size" key until the desired size is displayed. If you select "AUTO", the P-touch machine will automatically adjust the character size to the largest possible size.
Release the "Code" to apply the setting.
If you have the correct size tape installed and still get the error message, please try removing the cassette from the machine and reinstalling it. Also, check that the tape cassette is seated firmly in the compartment.
