Hp psc 1510 scanning difficulty

Re install HP PSC 1410v All-in-One Printer

try scaning from computer. i mean dont press the scan button -on printer but rather use some application on your pc to start the scan. you could test with office document imaging software.

First load the software tha tcome with you all in one in the laptop.

then scan from the laptop instead of from the printer.
Use the all in one icon on the laptop instead.
. then it wil lgive you the optiont o send it toE/mail or where.

Scan the scan using the scanning software, the printer buttons are useless.
For example in paint shop pro go to file, acquire, TWAIN, get page. The HP Scan software will start and make a preview of the page. Then press scan to get the page on the editing program.

Go to control panel and check the printer status, Unplug the USB cable than right click on printer icon and click on delete. Once you do that make sure printer icon should be gone. Than restart the computer. Once computer is Up than connect the USB cable of printer and make sure while doing that , the printer should be powered on. After that printer icon will again reappear in contro panel.

Try printing, it should work

you have to use the software to do that
i think that software CD with you

best think is try to reinstall the printer drivers and reinstall the all soft ware programs

Uninstall and reinstall the scanner utilities. Also make sure antivirus is disabled.

what happens whenever you are trying to scan.... any error message or any error number?

try scanning from the printer to the computer using the scan to option on the front panel of the printer.

try scanning from hp solution center installed in your computer.

try scanning from mspaint. to do so, open paint and click on "file-->from scanners and camera".

how did you installed the driver. have you got the correct cd to install the printer in windows vista???

if not that may be the problem. the printer can print and copy well as you are having the drivers which will work in win vista. but for the scanning functionality you need to get the cd to install the printer in windows vista. you can download it online.
