This might and might not be the backlight bulb. It could be the inverter or powersupply.
If you want to try to repair this on your own you will need to take it apart. If you post images of the front and rear of the boards that are inside I can give you a little help on where to start.

Power cord pluged in, turn on computer entered password, screen went black, power on button blinks green instead of steady on, wont do nothing else, what happened, what do i do now?

Unplug the power cord. Remove the battery. Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds then release. Plug the power cord back in but leave the battery out and try to turn it on now. If it comes on you can put your battery back in. If it still does not come on you may need a new power supply/ adapter.

Hi,
The issue may be corrected by following steps to perform a reset on the printer,
For products with keypads on the control panel:
1. Without turning the unit off, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Press and hold “# and 6′ keys.
3. While holding those keys plug the power cord back in.
4. Wait until the screen goes blank before you release those keys.
5. Follow on printer screen instructions.
For Box-type models:
1. Unplug the power cord from the printer.
2. Wait for 30 seconds.
3. Plug the power cable back in the printer and turn it on.

If the above doesn't help,try
  1. Press Cancel and Power, at the same time.
  2. Then, the Unit will ask for a Key Combo, press blue, green, gray buttons (in order) for this.
  3. “Support Menu” should appear.
  4. Go to Resets menu and use the semi-full reset.
Or
  1. Unplug the power cable from printer while the printer is powered on.
  2. Press and hold OK and HELP buttons while plugging in the power cord. Wait for the screen to go black or blank before releasing the keys.
  3. Just turn on the printer and configure your printer new
This should correct the issue.

My Lexmark x9350 only turns on and off if I plug and unplug...

This, probably, is a power issue on the printer. Unplug the printer from the computer. Unplug the power supply from the printer (it's the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached). Try not to use any power strips or extensions for the power cord. If possible, plug the power cord straight to the wall outlet. With the power cord plugged in straight to the power outlet, plug the power supply back in the printer. That should refresh the printer. When everything's powered on, plug printer to computer. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

-Orange light on Power-up button stays lit. -No Video, just black screen. using AGP Video card TNT 32mb / Model CT5823 I've replaced the battery, double checked the cables, Power supply is good. Gatew

This is typical of a failed power supply. Look on the back of the power supply, there may be a red switch for input voltage. Unplug the power cord, flip that switch a few times and then plug the cable in and try again. If nothing changes, see if there's a small black button on the back of the power supply. If there is, unplug the power cable and press the button and hold it for 10-15 seconds. If an LED flashes or turns on, then plug the cable back in and try again. If this all fails, replace the power supply.

Dell E173FPc 17" TFT when turned on goes black

Hi Gaz,

First, verify the monitor is functional.
Monitor STFC (Self Test Feature Check)
Turn off the monitor
Plug the monitor power cord directly into the wall socket to remove any surge protectors or APCs from the troubleshooting equation
Unplug the monitor video cable from the back of the computer
Turn on the monitor
The floating dialog box should appear on screen against a black background.
If the issue appears during the STFC, the monitor is defective. What are the results please?

Mag innovision LT716s monitor

When I turn on my computer the monitor takes a long time to warm up and colors change and vertical lines flash across the screen from right to left before the screen becomes normal again. Now the power light even goes out upon turning on my computer and I have to unplug the video cord and plug it back in to start the screen back up which even takes longer.
