The cable that alpine offers now is for 2006 and up models. I checked to be sure....Its the KCE-422i. Your model is not mentioned on the sites. But...you should be able to run it through an input to RCA. Im not sure if there is any other patch cable made for your model.
If you hear the motor try to run but the screen will not move then the plastic slides inside are most likely cracked and warped. This will make the screen catch on the rough edges. Not sure of the part number for the assembly to replace it but this is what I just found on my unit.
you have the amp remote wire hooked to the power antenna lead instead of the amp wire on the deck otherwise just hook it to a switched +12 volt source. You sure you got a DVD changer instead of just a cd changer

cva-1003 and there you will get the manual for free.................................................!
hold down the setup button until the menu comes up. press the '6' button. press the '6' button until "expand box" is hi-lighted. press 'up/>>l' button.
worked for me. good luck.
try going to the setup up then changing the aux-1 and aux-2 setting to pal. and make sure they are on. do this by holding down settings button. then press the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 buttons till you get the right one.
