The E symbol on the screen is not a problem at on the phone. It is just a symbol that show your phone can surf the internet. You cannot get it off. As long as your phone is an internet phone you will have either E or G on the screen.

It is not in any way a threat to the operation of the phone. As a matter of fact it helps you take note of some functions like if there is no service, there will be a red slash (\) over the E, if it is about to connect to the internet you have the E in a box, and and if you are about to receive a call you also have a red slash (\) over the E symbol.

The E does not cause any problem and is not a symbol that your phone is faulty, it is a part of the function of the phone so do not panic that you are having the E symbol on the screen.

As a matter of fact if you do not see the E on the screen at any time, then take note that there is an error somewhere on the phone that needs to be checked.

HI. This is a no service signal. There are two reasons for this type of symbol. The first reason will be that your service provider has canceled your service for some reason. I would contact this provider for further discussion if this is the case. Secondly, this may be a severed internal antenna connection, due to a cold solder break between the board and antenna connection points. if this is the case, you will need to have this unit service asap, if possible.

We cant look into the matter. But they have to give you a replacement as it is still under warranty. Although the new phone will look like new but is always a refurbished on. There are two separate departments, Sales and Service. The two do not mix their sets. The service dept collects sets like yours and takeout usable parts and assemble a new set. Only the cover may be new. I have been told this by nokia.co.in.
