Computer gets very slow by downloading anti virus....plz help me

Try this solution.

Restart your computer and press F8 to run on safe mode. After that restart again your computer. Running your computer on safe mode will fix and correct some errors because of faulty installed drivers, multiple drivers installed with same drivers or faulty software installed in your computer.

Also, run disk defragment on your computer by going to start menu, choose accessories, choose system tools, choose disk defragment and after this, restart again and it will run faster other than before.

If still slower, just run the system restore to restore the previous setting of your computer. Go to accessories, choose system tools, choose system restore and choose the date your want to restore.

Some anti virus software can use up a lot of system resources and noticeably slow down a computer. The newer and faster computers don't suffer from this problem as much, but on an older computer like your's it can be a problem. I've used Avira (free) on older computers without a problem:

AVG is a good free anti virus also, but it sometimes can slow down a computer a bit. I'm running it on some Netbooks with an Atom 1.6GHz. processor and it does OK. Only way to find out is to try it:

Remember that you should only run _one_ anti virus software at a time, so don't forget to un-install the existing anti virus first.

I run into this type of complaint very often, and it's almost always caused by viruses or spyware. I would recommend that you download two free clean-up tools that are very widely used and trused.

MalwareBytes AntiMalware (MBAM)

Install both programs using their default settings, run their respective updates from inside the program, and then run the full scans on both. You can run both scans at the same time, they'll both take a long time to run. Expect the scans to take an hour or more depending on how slow your computer is.

When the scans are finished, you'll get a list of "infected items". Follow the instructions for cleaning and deleting them, then reboot your computer. Once it comes back up, you may want to run both scans again just for good measure. If it comes up clean the second time, you should be all better for a while.

Then take a good Registry cleaner. They are many registry cleaners being sold on the internet. Pick a good one and clean your registry it will add extra speed to your computer operation.

Download AVG FREE antivirus It will cover you quite well enough.
make sure windows firewall is turned on.

Virus, try to download malware anti virus, and it will check for any viruses, that will make your computer run slower then molasses on a cold day
