Hi I have a SD 1.0 GB Kingston camera memory card. It has been working along fine for the past year with my Fujitsu laptop, until today the computer suddenly didn't detect my memory card despite me restarting the computer and vigorously inserting the memory card... SOS!!!

At the time your camera was made, 1GB was the max size standard SD card. Then along came 2GB standard SD, but this card also used the same format as previous cards, so yes it also worked in your camera. Now SDHC is a very different format with different file handling (although externally it looks exactly the same). I'm sorry to say, it is very unlikely that SDHC will work with your camera. Here on Fixya you'll see many folks asking why the brand new card they just bought doesn't work with their older camera. 9 time out of 10, this is the reason why.
The following information lists the type and maximum storage capacity of the memory card that each type of camera accepts.
EASYSHARE CX-, DX-, LS-Series Cameras accept:
DX3500, DX3600, DX3900: CF memory cards up to 1 GB
LS755: xD memory cards only
All other CX, DX, LS: SD memory cards up to 1 GB
EASYSHARE C-Series Cameras accept:
C300, C310, C315, C330, CD33, CW330, C530, CD40, CD50: SD memory cards up to 1 GB
C340, C360, C433, C503, C533, C603, C633, C643, C663, C703, C743, C875: SD memory cards up to 2 GB
CD43: xD memory cards only All other C-Series Cameras: SDHC and SDHC UHS-1 memory cards up to 32 GB
EASYSHARE M-Series Cameras accept:
M590, M583, M577 TOUCH, M5370 TOUCH: MicroSD and MicroSDHC memory cards up to 32 GB

wheather you check in computer repair shop is their any virus present in memory card? format your memory card! check virus is present in your computer or not! ?Try it!
Dear, All just try this trick Connect your phone to PC and try to acces the card on PC. Now format the card but, take the backup of data before formatting the card. Regards, Rakesh Kumar
