Previous POST did not complete successfully POST loads default values and offers to run BIOS Setup If the failure was caused by incorrect values that are not corrected, the next boot will likely fail This error is cleared the next time the system is booted

y this procedure. It very serious problem. For someones... To remove that password there are few steeps:
0. remove AC power 1. remove system battery (primary and multibay if present) 2. remove harddrive from harddrive bay 3. remove Multibay Devices from multibay 4. remove small round battery pill 3.3V, located under a cover on left side of touchpad. Remove cover gently (is no need to remove keyboard, but cover is removable with some power...) Delicate unplug small conector with cables leading to battery, 5. wait 5 minutes 6. connect AC power 7. Turn on computer unit (BIOS gets a few errors = date, time, mismatch etc. no need to panic, if everything is ok then get into computer setup pressing F10, change existing setup values as needed, if ok power down computer. 8. unplug AC power 9. Plug small battery into motherboard 10. install Hdd and multibay devices 11. Install system batteries 12. Power Up computer, there could be no password anymore

You by this go to BIOS screen , press F9 here and then F10 to save the defaults and to exit out of BIOS 2>>In the Control Panel click on Power Options and here click on Choose what the power button does and set the option accordingly
Power drain would be a better solution in this case. 1.first shut down the comp 2.unplug the charger 3. remove the battery and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery.After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer
when u say setup do u mean bios setup or windows setup.if windows setup u have os disk in cd.if not , in bios choose save and exit if no joy have hd problem maybe need to reinstall os.
select control panel off computer menu then select performance and maintence icon then select power options then you will see power options properties options tabs.. set properties to suit your needs
