My laptop gets switched off while running though it has enough battery backup. And after that if i tries to restart it doesnt starts up for sometime untill it cools down. What can be done for that. I am using compaq laptop

How old is your laptop? When I used to work over computers, laptops had a backup battery as well as a main battery and AC Adapter - could your backup battery be toast?

Please add details like how old your laptop is, how often you use, did your laptop backup from battery, does this happen when it is connected to ac with adopter, do you feel extreme heat from your laptop? any blue screen appears or something else that is unfamiliar to you!
Sometimes it can happen when your cooling fan of your laptop does not cool enough or does not run at all. When you processor becomes over heated it will automatically stop and shutdown your laptop to protect form burning! Sometimes your cooling fan may get jam with dust and not run as needed, that also cause this kind of problem. Sometimes it can happen if laptop's battery is damaged! Check this and supply information that I have mentioned.

Have you tried to do the same with the power cord plugged in and switched on
also
While turned off
have a look at the bottom of the laptop to see if you can remove the hard drive
usually just a couple of screw will do the job

then try to start up with out the hard drive

then turn off the laptop and re fit the hard drive
and try to restart again this sometimes works

first, you need to try to power on your laptop with another battery with the AC adaptor plugged in. if your problem was not solved you need to check the power jack on your mothernorad.

The buzzing sound from the trunk is probably your fuel pump. As far as the starting issue goes, your battery may still be the problem, it may hold enough juice to run your accessories but not enough to turn the starter, (starters require a ton of amperage compared to radios and lights).

Try to let the car run for 30 minutes and then bring the battery to your local auto supply to have it tested, (in my area, most stores will do this for free).

If that doesn't work, it's likely going to be your starter. If you have experienced any grinding or loud noises when starting the car in the past you can pretty well guarantee it's the starter. Some auto supply stores have the ability to test this, though you do have to remove your starter and bring it to them.

Try following method to get rid of Black screen problem. 1) TAKE OUT YOUR LAPTOP BATTERY
2) REMOVE YOUR AC ADAPTOR CORD, that's the wall power, remove it.
3) NOW HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON FOR 30 SECONDS

That will drain any static electricity that has built up on your laptop system board.

Power should bypass that. Try this: Remove the battery and power for a couple of minutes, then reassemble. If your model has one, press the reset button. Then try to restart it. It is worth a try, as resetting the motherboard sometimes works (more for making unrecognized usb devices recognized again though...). . If this doesn't work, you might have a motherboard issue. It is not a software issue. . Good luck.

The battery is either discharged...or bad...charge it for a day..if thats doesnt fix it...then you need to purchase a new battery

Sounds like your hardrive is starting to fail-backup all files!!!
