Question about Nintendo DS Lite

Im noty getting this....everyime i load a firmware on my r4i gold it always just gets me to a screen with the red memory stick with a question mark and ''menu'' inside...i dont know what im doing wrong...

Hello,

A red menu icon freeze usually means that there's the wrong version of the software installed. You have to make sure it was made for your specific model of R4, and there are a few out there.

The right R4 software can be hard to track down, that's why I went with the iEdge card . There's only one to find :)

Most reputable vendors like http://www.dscardworld.com won't even stock the R4i Gold as it's proven to be unreliable in the past.

Hey there,

It sounds like you updated your Nintendo DSi console and your R4i card is no longer working. Also the R4i Gold is a fake card, so won't work on the newest firmwares on DS consoles. The best thing to do is to buy a card that works with the newest 1.4.3 firmware. Cards that do this include:

Check out R4DSRevolutionCards.com (not a shop) for information about R4 cards / R4i cards in general, they explain the differences between loads of different cards. My favourite is the Supercard DSTWO though. I recommend DSCardWorld.com as a shop but NDS-Gear.com apparently has some good reviews too.

R4i gold not working on dslite
Hello Pmkfc,

Try the latest menu firmware from the manufacturer website. The R4i Gold, hasn't been the best card in awhile though. The cards made by the R4 SDHC team tend to be better. If you start running into compatibility issues I might get a new one.

If you're looking to get genuine cards for your ds (there are fakes out there), take a look here, http://www.dscardworld.com. I managed to find this site after I got burned at a few others. Loved having my emails responded to because I had loads of questions, and they were quick to ship it. US based support and shipping I believe.

yes you can buy a r4i which is design specificaly for dsi :) hope this helped. try bentonville mall this is where i bought mine from

R4i SDHC V1.4 card not working in dsi xl
The game is corrupted and wont work, try downloading the game form a different site and it should work ,, try Romulation although you will need to also downlaod winrar to convert the files

Has any games worked on this R4i?

If no games are working i would try another firmware version - im running v1.30 with my R4i Gold on my DSI XL and its working fine. Could also try http://games.katz.cd/search/ds for games - not as many as Romulation mind you. If you have a good virus checker you could always do a google search for "free .nds" - Good luck.

I've bought a R4i Gold card for my NDSI, I have all the kernels and stuff. I have put one game on it. But when I try to launch the game, it sticks on a 'Loading...' screen. What have I done wrong?

When i go on the r4i gold it keeps on loading and im wondering if the 4gb mini sd card works on it or do i need to download something? I put two files on it (Mario Kart and Pokemon ranger shadows of almia)...
make sure you have the correct firmware downloaded and put on the root of the memory stick.
go to the manufacture of the card. the card should have a site listed on the box, or the card itself
