You can try the following: 1# Check the main power cable & make sure it has 110V (Do not run the machine with long extension cable).2# Check all harness connection.3# Check keyboard cable connection on back of control board.4# If all the cable connection is good then you may need to replace the control board.

I work at a gm dealer, and we have this machine that had this issue. The reason this happens is due to battterys going dead in the main control boards.(the boards behind the screen). The fix is to remove the boards, then dissasemble them, two of the larger boards have 2325 batterys soldered on them (coin type- 3 volt batterys). Have a PC shop or yourself if your savy with a soldering gun,to replace the batterys then re-assemble. Afterwards the acr 2000 will have to be reprogramed.( I reprogramed mine with a update cd we got in 2002) most gm dealerships should be able to do this.

How did you get the terminals off the old batteries and reinstalled on the new batteries?

  • hilbert137 Jun 09, 2011

thanks for the info on the ACR 2000. I replaced the batteries and figured no problem locating a disk. I too work at a GM shop. I could not find ours. I called several other people that I used to work with to check thier GM shops. No one has them anymore. I called a tech assist and was refered to a service center, they tried to email me the program. that did not work. I am now going to send the service center a thumb drive and they will copy the program on the drive and send it back to me. has anyone seen this program downloadable on line?

I got the program for the acr 2000 from the service center today. I found that I needed to copy the thumb drive program to a CD, then load the program on a computer running windows 98, then load the acr using the serial port of the pc to the connector on the back of the acr. I am not having very good luck though, As soon as I turn the acr off, it seems to lose its programming.

I soldered new batteries on the computer. I connected my laptop with the unit and installed software. The program says turn unit on to begin upload, then I turn it on and nothing happens...no upload. Does anybody have any specific info on the software procedure?

  • apostoli Aug 06, 2011

    Hello,
I soldered new batteries on my unit. I was able to get ahold of the software cd. I installed on my laptop, set com1 to my laptop and the program. Connected a rs232-to-usb adapter on main board port 1 and ran the program. It says turn on unit to begin upload...I do and nothing happens?? Any ideas or recommendations on the procedure?

Can anyone send me the software to fix this on an acr2000 machine. I have had a computer shop replace my batteries and checked over the boards and didn't see any issues with the board but it still says initializing system and won't go past that. I really hate to have to pay $450 for someone to basically just flash it and send it back. Any help would be appreciated

I know this response is really late, but if any one else is experiencing this issue, we can help. We will repair the board and warranty it as well. http://www.automotiveequipmentparts.com/ACR2000-Board-Repair-p/rob-ra19606a.htm

I need to know how much stone in tons I need to fill 8.5 acre at 1.5 ft depth

Stone is approximated at about 2700 lbs. per cu. yd.
An acre is 43560 sq. ft.
8.5 acres is 370260 sq. ft.
There 9 sq.ft. per sq. yd., thus there are 41140 sq. yds. in 8.5 acres.
A cubic yard is 3 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet (LxWxH).
Since you are only going to be at 1.5 feet, each square yard is equal to 1/2 cubic yard, so to figure the cubic yards divide sq.yds. by 2, thus you get 20570 cu. yds. of stone.

20570 x 2700 = 55539000 pounds. Divide by 2000 to get tons:
55539000/2000 = 27769.5 tons.
