If you entered them in system speed dial then you'll need to enterpgogramming on either extension 10 or 11. Enter programming by pressing feature 00,then press feature and the number of the speed dial bank (600-699), then enter in the number you want to over write. press feature 00 when finished.
If your trying to change one of the one touch buttons on the set itsself then press feature 00, press the button you want to change, then enter in the new telephone number. prsss feature 00 to exit programming.
Yes you can get stand alone caller ID units, they simply plug into the main line in phone jack. BTW, If you have a modem in your PC you can also then use it as a telephone "anything" Call center, answer-phone, voice-mail, and of course Caller ID. A lot of the software is freeware available on the 'net for download and install.
If your changing the speed dial numbers under the individual buttons thats done by pressing feature 00, the button you want to change the speed dial number on, and enter in the new number.
If your changing the system wide speed dial numbers, From extension 10 enter in feature 00, press feature then the 3 digit code for the speed dial bank (600-699), then enter in the new telephone number. Either press feature and the next 3 digit code for the next number or press feature 00 if finished.
it depend on the system, but usually on the main phone Ext:10 or 200 press redial then speed dial then "BIN" number ( 10-49 for user 60-99 on system dials or 600-699 for large system dials) then type the number with 9 in front if you dial that to dial out .. finish by pressing redial.
Given that consumer telephones are inexpensive, the cost of repairing the speaker phone on the 960 (assuming you still have it) is probably not worth it.
Going off of my memory....to program a speed dial you would first press "Program", enter the telephone number you want stored and then press the one of the memory buttons to save the number to. If the number is to be saved on a lower memory position press "Lower" before you press the memory button.
