Out of coolant? Got a leak? May just be liquid in the radiator, switch off, turn it all upside down (emptied) for 30 minutes, then right way up, leave for an hour, then plug it in and switch on to see if it has helped to get fluid in the compressor. Cant hurt, sounds pretty bad really, sorry!

My Fridgemaster MC50160 Freestanding Fridge Freezer is defrosting, any suggestions?

Check for proper operation of the compressor motor which powers the cooling cycle. Make sure that the thermostat is sending electricity to the motor when called for and that the condenser fan is also operating. If motor is cold to the touch it has not been running - check the start capacitor if it has one and/or the start winding of motor.

Hotpoint RFA52 fridge freezer

if you cant hear the motor/compressor running when energised then its likely to be a thermostat fault... but on energising the system if you hear a buzz then a click then its more seriously the main motor... turn off at mains for 5 mins then turn on... this should tell you either way

My fridge freezer defrosted itself completely ruining all contents, this was a week ago and it still wont work. I bought it from argos three years ago it's a Fridgemaster

If there is no noise coming from it its poss thermostat or sensor and if compressor is stone cold. If compressor is very hot its sound like a gas or compressor problem.
