if you spray intake cleaner into intake while someone is trying to start and it does start then its a fuel problem check fuel pressure and volume. it could be the check valve that allows the system to hold pressure after the motor is turned off. it could also be injector problems.
check the plugs and wires and the fuel pressure also have the cam and crank sensors checked for on off collection at start up this needs to be in the condition of hard to start not when starts good
The problem on your vehicle is much more likely to be the oil pressure sending unit ore the fuel pump relay . The way the systems works is the fuel pump is supplyed by the fuse box fuse #9 but the cirrcuit splits and goes to the oil pressure sending unit in case the relay fails when your drivering the fuel pump will still have a power supply its stupid but its a safty thing that was mandated. If the fuel relay is NG the vehicle will still start but it takes the engine some time to build up enough oil pressure to trip the switch inside the sending unit to send volatge to the starter . Witch means slow starts long cranking times I would check the fuel filter first but realsticly if you don't know if the fuel pump has been replaced or you haven't done it your self this is vary likely the cause of the problem . If you have then try the oil pressure unit
it is very possible and i can tell you a way to help you see if that is the issue. after your car has sit a while (as long as it usually takes before it acts up) jump in the vehicle and turn the key to the postion just before the vehicle begins to turn over when all the dash lights come on. when the key is put in this position the fuel pump runs for a few seconds and then stops until vehicle is cranked, allow the pump to run for 5 seconds then turn the key back off. then return the key to the "run" postion i mentioned before and wait a few seconds then try to start it. if it fires right up you have allowed the vehicle to build fuel pressure before you started it, indicating you have a fuel pressure issue and you are most likely looking at a weak fuel pump.
not the fuel filter because then the car would ruin like **** all day.. you might need new spark plugs or alternor.. the alternator gets juice from you battery. your alternator needs alot of juice for a start big start up.. if it isnt that i could be something simple as a spark plug. have a mechanic check it out. they wont charge alot
IT IS PROBABLY THE FUEL PUMP. THERE IS AN ANTI-DRAINBACK VALVE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO HOLD THE FUEL PRESSURE WHEN THE KEY IS OFF. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOURS LEAKS. TO TEST IT, LET THE VEHICLE SIT LONG ENOUGH TO ACT UP. KEY THE VEHICLE OFF TO RUN THREE TIMES BEFORE CRANKING IT OVER. IF IT STARTS EASY, YOU CAN BET THE FUEL PUMP MODULE IS THE PROBLEM.
