Try play the dvd disc on another DVD player. If it can play, maybe it is the problem of the DVD player. Then you can check on this:
"How to fix a DVD "No disc" error".

Also, maybe you didn't copy the DVD disc in a right way, such as the copied DVD contain incompatible region code with your DVD player or copyright protection. In this case, you need to get another DVD copy software that can copy this kind of protected DVD, such as Leawo Blu-ray Copy which can deal with it.

Were you able to play copied dvd's on this unit ? if yes then check setting on the dvd menu for things like DVD REGION and DVD playback speed and types of DVD playable, this is quite likely as i ha this problem on a pioneer model previously.

do those copied dvds no longer play on the same unit ? and you have tried them again on another unit or dvd player ?

rather i suspect problems with the DVD burn itself and its compatibility with the dvd player you are palying them on now (asuming settings in DVD enu are correct as loosely outlined above in point 1)

it may be that if this is a new dvd player than the one you played them on before, the dvd's may have to be closed in a certain way using your burning software so that they are playable on standard dvd players.
please also check that region is not an issue and that the recording speed of the dvd (the rip speed) is not too high or too low for your unit, as this data is stored on the written dvd and is responsible for the quality of the palyback data.

    Hi,

i notice that th picture for the unit you are getting informatuion on is a bose lifestyle 20 or 30 system.

if this is the case neither are dvd players at a risk of stating the obvious.

also if you can be more specifi on the problem after recommendations in earlier solution and can try to be more specific. in my response.

    respectfully yours R.

I need help fixing my DVD-PLAYER. The model number is- PANASONIC SC-DT100. The problem with my DVD-PLAYER is that it won't play original DVDs, it used to before but not anymore. I some how did something...

Hi Zainab

The issue usually related to more than one possibilities. First possibility; the obstacle in front of laser beam lens. Sometime by natural causes the DVD lens collect tiny amount of dust which makes the laser reflection on CD weaker. since copied DVDs has different track structure it might be better reflected.

Second possibility is your region code has been changed. Copied DVDs usualy come with region "0". You might try to set your region again.

You may perform lens cleaning by obtaining an easy to find DVD cleaner set.

Please post if you have further questions

Old dvds wont play in old or new player bought 3 brand ones still wont work what brand player shuld i buy tell me whats wrong

If you have purchased multiple dvd players and none of them will play your DVDs (including your old player which previously played the old DVDs), then your issue is with the DVDs. You have to replace them because they have been damaged or scratched and can't be read by the laser anymore. DVDs are not indestructible and can eventually be damaged beyond repair. You'll have to replace the DVDs, which makes more economic sense than buying multiple DVD players to try and play them. If these are home movies or personal recordings you should contact a local computer store about data recovery.

Message "wrong Region" appears in my Sony DVD -

DVD region is an anti-piracy method to block DVDs from other countrys to be played on a region where that DVD isn't available for selling. You still can watch that DVD by changing the DVD Player region code from options but be aware that you have a limited number of changes, after changes reach 0 you cannot change DVD region code anymore and your DVD player will be stucked to a certain region that you selected.

Playstation 2 won't play DVDs

if it's a fat PS2 and
model SCPH 30001, SCPH 35001
(not including the models with an 'R' after the model #.

these models need the following to play DVDs:
- PS2 DVD remote with IR unit
- PS2 DVD disc player (sold with DVD remote w/ IR unit)
- PS2 memory card

you copied the DVD disc to the memory card. you used the memory card to play DVDs.

later models didn't need the memory card to play DVDs.

hope this helps :D

Format unsupported

Format unsupported simply means the unit can not read the disc. The problem is either the disc or the player.

Contact Bose technical support if you are sure the discs are good. 800-367-4008
