My juicerator will not run with the stainless steel juice bowl attached. It seems to rub to a halt.

Was this issue solved? I have the exact same problem with mine. The steel bowl is putting too much pressure on the juicing blade causing the motor and blade unable to spin.

How do you open the acme juicerator to clean out the extract

I have a 1962 manual which might be too old but here's what it says: When juicing is completed, simply remove the spring-clamp top, unscrew the wing nut or spring clutch that holds down the cutter blade, and all parts to be cleaned may be lifted from the base. Bowl and top, being non-porous, similar to glass, require only rinsing. Blade should be washed under running water, using a stiff brush. Since the basket is made of stainless steel, it, too, cleans easily. After taking out the the pulp, let cold water run on the outside of the basket while you brush the perforated section. Any remaining particles of pulp will be loosened and can be removed with a damp sponge or by rinsing. Dry and reassemble for next use. Turn machine on and let run a few seconds.
Hope this is of some help.

For an Oster Juicer Model 3165, how do I remove the stainless steel basket? Thanks.

Move from side to side and jiggle the whole assembly .. including the juice collector and juicing basket. With patience and even a break between attempts it will finally dislodge itself and lift up and off.

Just juiced carrots and a couple apples .. mmmm good ;-) best of luck

Broken bracket

Hi, I have the Acme 6001 Juicer and I love it! I would take the broken bracket and the juicer to a machine shop that does welding. Shouldn't cost more than a few bucks for them to spot weld the bracket back on. A good maching shop can fix this as they will have another bracket to reference the repair. hope this helps...gary One of our local shops can fix about anything and they are very reasonable and pretty quick.

Stop running in the middle of juicing

well this is very common with this version, clean inside out, shredded fruits and veggies tend to stick and jam blades.
