I have a set of teac speakers that are about 40 years old and I need to replace a woofer. I just do not know which one to buy. The speakers were bought in Germany, the model number is LS-80 and they have 12 inch woofers, 8 ohms and handle 60 watts.

These sound like they a JBL speaker.
1. You will need the impedence and diameter spec and the Hz (hertz) specifications to get a replacement set.
you can call JBL Altec-Lansing is the company that manufacturer this series of speaker.\ On the back of you speaker cabinet should be a phone number to the company or check the user manual that you received with the speaker system and they should be able to give full information on how to replace the speaker in question or where to have it repaired.
The cabinet is glued together and will need a cabinet expert to disassemble.
Contact JBL for more information.

Teac a103 cassette deck. I want to know how much of this thing do I have to dismantle to replace the belts?? the online manuals ****!

It is not all that hard. You need to take the transport out of the chassis and then remove the screws required to get the motor mount and thrust plate off of the rear area of the flywheel. I have done them many times at Teac in the Chicago Factory Service. You need to get the right belt first. There may be more than one belt to replace in the unit such as one in the front near the counter. I can fix it but it might not be as cheap as you might think. I have been servicing Teac decks for 40 years so far.

Sub woofer speaker blows both 5A fuses whenever I turn the speaker on

http://www.jblpro.com/pub/manuals/lsrman.pdf
maybe the voltage setting is wrong. check to make sure it matches your home voltage setting.
maybe try a 10amp fuse, but have a fire extinguisher handy ;)

I have blown-up my JBL rear woofer 86160 - 26W and 3.7 OHM. I am having difficulty finding the exact same woofer again and hence wanted to know is there a replacement i can use. I understand the meaning of...

I just replaced my blown sub in my Avalon xls with a Kicker 07C84 and it works great. For the same price of a repair kit, you can just buy this new speaker. Why go through the hassle of repairing a 9 year old speaker. This speaker fits into the same cutout of the old speaker. All I did was splice the red and black wires within the factory plastic housing so I could still use the factory connector.

Subwoofer to receiver hookup

In general, there are two ways to hook up your sub-woofer. First using the high level outputs from your receiver ( speaker output from the front R & L speaker terminals ) run a set of wires from the outputs to the speaker inputs on the sub-woofer, you do this in concert with the speaker wires going to the front R & L speakers which you then attach to the R & L speaker outputs on the sub woofer amp. Note that the sub woofer doesn't power your front speakers, the connections from the sub amp are just a pass through connection where the signal needed by the sub is parasitically taken from the inputs.
Second is via a low level output from your receiver / amp to the low level input on your sub amp. This is normally done via a RCA type of patch cable and connected to the sub woofer RCA jack on the rear of the source receiver or amp, Next run the patch cord to the sub amp an into the RCA jack input. IF you have a right and left input, use the Right input.

Fried Woofer

The problem are worsen that before. It is wisely to replace both left and right amplifier
IC, but make ensure that the power supply feed a good amount of voltage to amplifier,
Also a strong good signal. Be sure to measure it.
