Toshiba laptop display flickering

Hi! Only at booting, or all the way using the PC?

or bad GPU chip local. to LCD , but I think not.

The single line means that the vertical deflection doesn't work. And since it is working when you kick the tv or has warmed it's clearly a bad connection - open the case and reseat the wires going to the tube coil.

Your Bulb is DUE, you need to change it, Don't do it your self contains mercury. Your LCD is good IF you do not have bad PIXELS. This white and pink lines shows as pixel problem but it migth also short on LCD, if you placed something heavy on Laptop. You may remove and sent the LCD for repair or all laptop to tech.

It sounds like you may have a loose inverter cable or the ribbon cable behind the screen is loose.

more than likely it is the lcd cable if you move the lcd does it flicker if so the cable has gone bad

Hi, Check all your connections are fitted properly it could be a faulty wire if you can try another wire then do so & see if that solves the problem. The only other thing it could be if you had your machine apart & maybe the video card is not pushed right into the slot look for the small white clip that clips into the rear of your PC inside the machine. Horizontal lines on bottom third of my Toshiba (Satellite Pro) Laptop with XP windows got fixed by flicking my finger on the laptop screen! Was it a loose connection? I don't know. Change of screen resolution did not help, Rebooting, did not help nor restoring to prior dates. Thank you guys.

I really dont understand the problem Could we see a picture of this please?
