How to deactivate T9 format in Sony Ericsson cellphone model T250i?

When you want to import a new contact, you start writing the name, if both T9 and letters abd are shown on the screen, you simply press the star button * until T9 is removed

You have to put both your thumbs on black plastic portion and push the panel towards charging point it will slide down and you can open battery etc.

I take it that the manual is not with you? Go on line and search google, SE T250i fascias or covers some sites have YOUtube demos. It may be just a difficult model, so in which case don't take any chances but go to your local provider. it would be a shame to scratch it for the sake of getting someone to show you. I used to have a Nokia that I had to take in to the shop every time!!!
