iDevices (iPod, iPhone, etc) usually can only be managed through iTunes. So the first thing you should do is install iTunes (you can download it off Apple's website).
After installing iTunes and connecting your iPod, you must open My Computer then double click your iPod's icon. Then, click on Tools, Options, and in the View tab check the "Show hidden files and folders" option. You should then see an "iPod_Control" folder. Inside it there'll be a "Music" folder, with all your songs. Just drag them back to your computer.
But remember: you can only manage your iPod's music through iTunes. If you add or change songs on your iPod without using iTunes, these songs won't be recognized.
looks like at least you're going to need to do a restore. if you still can't sync music after the restore you may need a new logic board. there are websites that show you how to replace the logic board.
try by using add to playlist not drag and dropping on the itunes. if this wont work then try to format your mp3 and do it again. you should use latest itunes
After your iPod shows up in iTunes, highlight your iPod if it doesn't automatically come up. Then on the first tab labeled Summary, under Options click the box that says Manually manage music and videos. Then you can highlight all the songs in your library that you want to add to your iPod and drag them onto the iPod. The files already on your iPod will not be overwritten.
Make sure th songs are in the correct format - p.25 of user's manaul -
iPod shuffle does not support Apple Lossless, WMA, MPEG Layer 1, MPEG Layer 2 audio
files, or audible.com format 1
once u plug in ipod via USB just let it sit and open itunes, u should put ur songs in itunes before connecting ipod, auntomatically it should start importing songs from itunes to ipod and should show u on top of itunes
