I have a 111d and when i go to copy and burn a DVD it copys alright, then when i put a blank disk in, a message comes up that tells me to put a disk in the drive wich i have already done all i hear is the blank disk trying to work and it makes a noise and won,t burn can you help.cheers Greg
Well Greg... if the unit is noisy... you have a hardware problem or the disc you are using is not too well. First thing you should know is that Pioneer does not support all types of CDs/DVDs... try using Imation, Verbatim... in that order. If it still happening and the noise continues your unit is not good. Normal noises are very low and only when the unit is going speed up, speed down...
If the recorder is new, take it t garantee imediately and ask your seller to try is in front of you... Stay in touch if this do not help you and give me more info. Its very hard to know what is happening just with you said. OH! one more thing: USE NERO and do not record faster than 12 or 16 X its not recommendable.

Yes very helpfull my burner was the problem.thanks Greg
I also have a new Pioneer DVER-111D DVD CD-RW burner and it will read CD's but if I put a blank disc in to burn audio files, it does not pick up the blank CD and keeps telling me to install it. I have never been able to burn anything on it since I bought it a couple of months ago. It is ****!
I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it from the Device Manager and rolled back the driver and then updated the driver. Under 'troubleshooting' it tells me that the device is working properly. I am at a dead end. I have windows XP SP2 home edition.
