My screens backlight wont stop flickering

I rescently got a creative zen vision M (30gb) as a christmas present , it was bought off ebay and labelled as a reffurbished factory model.
its been working fine since i got it, but last week i turned it on and the screen wont stop flickering and it is becoming increasingly hard to read, let alone watch videos.
the sound and file transfer still works fine, but nothing in display settings is helping, ive tried resetting it and still the screens stays on the blink,

i dont think the zen is covered by the warrenty anymore, as i dont have a receipt,

but i'd rather know if there was anything i could do to fix the problom

Not really, the screen flickering is due to a faulty circuit inside of the Mp3 player. If you have another one, you might be able to swap out the screen circuits, adn fix it, but this is very difficult.

When I turn my creative zen vision: m (30gb) on, it will stop at the zen screen. I tried formatting it, but still wont work. Help?

You could try a firmware update/reinstall. If that doesn't work you may have a bad mainboard.

Problem could be the combination of a bug that causes the device to freeze and the battery running out. If...
- the player won't turn on
- the player won't connect to PC
- the standard reset action won't work,

plugging the player in the AC charger may pull up the recovery screen which will allow you to proceed and reboot, provided the player has no other eg hardware issues.

Creative zen vision :m 30gb wont turn on

if you don't have the kind of charger that goes directly into the dock connector, the zen vision needs a 5V charger ( it happens to be compatible with the PSP charger). if you just plug it into a usb cord it will not charger. you may also need the little white adapter piece the goes into the dock connector. i know only one place that sells older creative zen accessories and repairs creative zen visions . if you have all of that: i assume you pressed the little reset button on the bottom, it may just be frozen? if that doesn't work and you are sure you're charging it right, your logic board is dead.

My creative zen vision M says FIRMWARE PROBLEM! HELP!

Hi you can try going to Creative's web site and downloading there Creative MP3 Player Recovery Tool software and what that does is update everything and most of the time it will fix what the problem . I would try that first.
