You'll need to clear the bios back to its default settings. There sre five versions of motherboards.
See the list below;
P4M890-M7 TE 7.x
P4M890-M7 SE 7.x
P4M890-M7 PCI-E 7.1
P4M890-M7 PCI-E 7.0
P4M890-M7 FE 7.x
I'll guide you using the manual for P4M890-M7 FE 7.x
Turn to page 17 and follow the instruction to clear the cmos. Open page 6 for a closer look of the JCMOS location. Once finished you will need to enter the bios and re-setup the settings. This time around try not to over clock the memory.

Compaq nc6220 freezes during POST

Start in Safe Mode by pressing F8 during boot. Then...

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig > Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running.

This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when you initiate.

My iMac G5 computer starts up and then gets to the apple logo ,it ses like it loading up but nothing is happening.

The PRAM is the first thing to try and then there might be an internal reset button next tot he installed RAM. Seen it in older eMac and iMac desktops but not sure about yours.

Resetting the Parameter RAM

One easy fix for many issues is to simply reset the PRAM to its default state. This will cause some data to be lost, specifically the date, the time, and the startup volume selection. Luckily, you can easily correct these settings using your Mac's System Preferences.
  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Turn your Mac back on.
  3. Immediately press and hold the following keys: command+option+P+R. That's four keys: the command key, the option key, the letter P, and the letter R. You must press and hold these four keys before you see the gray screen during the startup process.
  4. Continue to hold down the four keys. This is a long process, during which your Mac will restart on its own.
  5. Finally, when you hear the second startup chime, you can release the keys.
  6. Your Mac will finish the startup process.

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS SIZE OF MY PC'S RAM

If you are using windows, right-click on the 'My Computer' or 'Computer' icon on the desktop or start menu. Select properties, you will find your RAM specs there. Alternately you can check it in your BIOS by hitting a key during startup, the key is different on different systems, it should tell you during the early stages of the boot process, saying something like ' For Setup' or 'Del to Enter Setup'

There is no display in motherboard and sound of ram is coming from it

If you are hearing Long beeps during startup, then indeed its a problem with RAM. You can try to re-seat the RAM or you might need to buy new RAM

My acer aspire X3950 takes a while to shut down

Sounds like it's probably due to a lot of processes running or not much memory in the computer. You can go through your startup entries and look for things that don't need to run or you can add more RAM. Crucial.com will tell you which kind of RAM your computer needs.
To view startup processes Vista/7 click the start menu and type in msconfig, hit enter, click the Startup tab. Windows Defender, which is built in, will also help you with that.

Start up problem

The beeped sound you are gearing during startup tells you that the Mainboard is not able to detect the RAM.

Open the Notebook from the backside and remove the RAM and clean its legs with a white paper and place it again nicely. Now Start the system, your system should work fine now.

If the problem still persists, try inserting the RAM in another slot if another slot is available and check again.

Till now if you are not able to boot, replacing the RAM will solve it.

That's it.
