When you click to print something, you will get what's called the Print
Dialogue box. Before clicking "OK", click the Properties button. This will take you to a screen with some tabs. Click on the
Paper/Quality tab. Somewhere in that window you will see some options
for "Print Quality".
By default, it is probably set to "Normal". That's the middle setting.
To save ink, you can set it to Fast Normal (better for ink saving) or
Fast Draft (best for ink saving). This means the printer will use less
ink to print the page. The final copy will look a little lighter but
certainly still readable.
This option "fast draft" will print very fast and also save your ink.
Select "print" from the "File" menu when the printer dialog box opens select "Properties" then "Printer Shortcuts" go to the "Print Quality" box and select "Fast Draft" now at the top of the window the last tab is "Color", go there and select "Print in Grayscale".
Hi, Try setting the printing properties to fast draft or draft. It provides a average quality document faster using less ink. To do this, go to Start->Control Panel and then Printers. Right click on your printer and choose printing preferences. Find the setting for the quality and select Draft or Fast Draft if it is available. Please note that this printer has a rate of 5.36 pages per minute, so even with the draft you will not see much difference.
At the settings properties of your printer there is the abbility to change the mode of printing. Like High resolution, Normal, Normal Fast, Draft printing. Change to Normal fast or draft and your document will be printed in seconds!
Check to see what quality you are printing in, all printers print slower in normal mode compared to fast or draft mode. When you go to print click on property and change the quality. This is normally a temporary fix to keep the settings you need to do the same thing inside the printers folder.
Go into your control panel
Select Set Printer Properties
Then printing preferences
Select Fast Print
Then ok all windows
This will now print is fast draft on each document.
Hope this gives you an idea. When printing from your pc, please select print properties to draft/best printing resolution. We'll see the difference between fast draft to best. Else you'll have to allign the printer settings from your pc, using the printers alignment tool.
