I want to unlock and flash my palm pre from sprint to cricket.

  • Anonymous Mar 09, 2010

well, yes. I purchased an unlock code already for the phone but havent received it yet. i wanted guidance so that when i get the unlock code i can do it correctly. i would like to do the "full flash" so that i can still use internet, sms, mms, etc..., as well as the voice feature. According to the research i have done, it is possible, and supposedly not that difficult. So yes pleas, can you help me with that? thank you so much.

    Hello.
Fully flash your Palm Pre is going to cost you a lot since you can't do it yourself.
    Here, check this;http://cgi.ebay.com/FULL-FLASH-PALM-PRE-...

SOURCE: can i unlock a sprint palm pre to be used on an at&t service plan

absolutely not. SPrint is a CDMA network, meaning the device must be manufactured specifically for that network. CDMA networks use HEXidecimal codes to connect to the network. This is the same type of service used by cricket, verizon, and many other providers that use CDMA devices. Your Palm can be "flashed" with the proper setting to work on any of these networks, but as long as the network requires a sim card it will not. Sim cards are used on GSM networks, which run on a totally different frequency lvl.

THe only way to make the device work is to be a phone genius and "hack" a sim port onto the board. Unfortunately, this is so complicated, i have only been able to it to one device (a first generation palm centro) and the device experienced many problems and after a few months, shorted out completely.

SO DONT TRY!!!! your best bet is to find someone that will trade you straigh out.

GOOD LUCK AND PLS RATE THIS POST!!!!!

I found a palm pre. I thought I lost and don't know passcode

Hello,

the truth is that you can unlock the phone ,but you can't unlock all phone for free.

The payment sites are very cheap you could try it out and see.

You can the link below to unlock .

Note: unlock is not free, You will be charged to get your unlock code.

The only way by which you can get the unlock code for free is by calling your service provider

and requesting for your unlock code.

If you service provider refuses to give it to you, then there is no other place where you can

get a free unlock code.

Visit the links below if you are interested in buying the unlock code:

Flash is not available on Centro - unfortunately. The new Palm Pre (coming soon from Sprint) is rumored to support Flash.
