Device drivers for samsung yp-t9jab/xac mp3 player

I have win xp. i bought samsung yp-t9jab/xac. the shipper didn't ship the cd with drivers/software. where do i get the device driver? samsung's website has media studio software. when i connected the mp3 player with the usb cable, device driver window pops up, but since i don't have the cd, it can't find the driver. my mp3 player charges, but, it's not recognized by the samsung media studio to download songs on to it.

appreciate your help. thx..

I called Samsung helpline. Apparently, this MP3 player is plug-n-play and didn't need special drivers. I tried it on a different computer which also has windows xp in my house and it worked. TheMp3Doctor is right that it's windows xp problem.

Since they didn't include a specific driver, then XP is supposed to download the driver automatically. Restart your computer and try replugging the player into the computer again. Use the instructions on p. 16 of the Samsung manual for installing the software, except skip the part where it says "from CD" - just use the software you grabbed from their site. If that fails, go to the Microsoft website, and get their mtp protocol software (only if you are running Windows Media Player 11). I would guarantee you that this problem is Microsoft's fault, and not Samsung's.

Cannot be recognised on my USB ports

The CD supplied does not have drivers on it. This is a flash player so your PC should recognise it automaticaly.

If this is not happening, please try installing an MTP Porting Kit via the microsoft.com website.

Nothing pop's in my screen comp,

I think I got it guys. forget WMP 9,. 10 , 11... I run win xp service pack 2 and could not install the samsung yp-u3 player. I kept having it found as a new hardware {portable device} but as we all know this software has no drivers, and the windows update produces MTP device error. Resulting in you not being able to see your player in XP. Well go to windows update site and search for a file called "mtppk12.exe" I'm pretty sure once you install that file and reboot, you will no longer have MTP device errors. However, I installed this at the same time i installed windows media player SDK. So maybe both files are required. Finally after 2 days of troubleshooting i got mine to work.
