A picture that blinks in & out every few seconds then it could be a bad tube.
I know the older models the picture would flash in and out with snow etc. that was a tuner problem.
haven't worked on very many sony wega's, maybe another tech here has a better ans.

Sony 43"/projection (older) suddenly after 18 years has a snowy and less than perfect picture. It will "pop slightly" and the picture will come back to perfect. Any clue?

Your picture tubes are failing. There are no parts available for this TV and your money is better spent on a new flat panel. That is the grid guns starting to short out.

Tv keeps blinking to black screen and back to normal. (sony trinitron)

Probably the picture tube getting weak, those sets have a circuit called IK Blanking that samples the three colors of the picture tube and if they are not equal the circuit blanks the picture. Another clue is if occurs less frequently the longer the set is on because the picture tube can get a little stronger as it warms up.

Sony 32 lcd

This LCD could have a defective back light inverter board.
If your TV is less then a year old, still under manufacturers warranty. If not, I would suggest to contact sony and ask them for parts availability.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Canon Powershot A520 Stuck in View Picture Mode

You need to power it with rechargable batteries. with the MAH being no less than 2000. I bought a charger which came with 2batteries for less than a tenner

Picture turns off sound is on

Hi Anya, Im sorry to hear of your difficulties but very happy to know im not alone. I have the same exact Sony model and the same exact problem. I wasnt sure if it was my Tv or my upconvert Sansung DVD player. I spoke with Sony assistance..and well..they were of no assistance. They blamed it on my HDMI cable, then the dvd's i was playing, then the dvd player itself. I ruled out all of the above. Mine goes black when i play a dvd in the upconvert format (720p or 1080i) otherwise known as digital..but the analog signal goes through fine. Luckily i am within my 30 days since I bought it, so now that I have seen your posting and am certain its a tv issue, I think i will return it and buy a Samsun tv (a great alternative for same price with only drawback being a glossy screen=not good for bright rooms but amazing color clarity). Sorry I dont have answer for the problem other than your not alone on this one. I have read other Sony users listing similar issues. I hope all goes well with you and wish you the best Matthew
