Hi. Yes, your printer will run on LinuxUbuntu 9.10. There is a driver available for download in the Lexmark website. Just click on this link. http://bit.ly/cXIEFa . Click on Linux/Unix tab on the center of the page. Download the Linux driver for Debian Package Manager based distros with filename: lexmark-08z-series-driver-1.0-1.i386.deb.sh.tar.gz. Hope this helps.
Testimonial: "Thank You!!!!! My printer runs!! But, if you want to install the drivers you have to get a root apt or else it does not not install. "
IF you can find a driver yes Google Lexmark X3650 Printer linux Ubuntu driver download....
Testimonial: "It runs. but you have to download a root apt if you installed the os in a gui! Thank you"
Hi,
I installed this driver with Ubuntu 10.04 today, and everything seems to work fine. However, I am not able to scan directly to my PC. When I choose this option on the X-3650, it tells me that it is searching for programs on the computer, but it cannot find anything.
Unfortunately, for Linux operating system, you won't be able to scan using the Lexmark X3650 printer operator panel. However, you can use the XSANE software on your Linux for scanning with the printer connected through usb cable.
I hope this information has been helpful. Thanks.
