Hi. Yes, your printer will run on LinuxUbuntu 9.10. There is a driver available for download in the Lexmark website. Just click on this link. http://bit.ly/cXIEFa . Click on Linux/Unix tab on the center of the page. Download the Linux driver for Debian Package Manager based distros with filename: lexmark-08z-series-driver-1.0-1.i386.deb.sh.tar.gz. Hope this helps.

IF you can find a driver yes Google Lexmark X3650 Printer linux Ubuntu driver download....

Testimonial: "It runs. but you have to download a root apt if you installed the os in a gui! Thank you"

  • nrabett Nov 23, 2010

    Hi,
I installed this driver with Ubuntu 10.04 today, and everything seems to work fine. However, I am not able to scan directly to my PC. When I choose this option on the X-3650, it tells me that it is searching for programs on the computer, but it cannot find anything.

  • Anonymous Nov 23, 2010

Unfortunately, for Linux operating system, you won't be able to scan using the Lexmark X3650 printer operator panel. However, you can use the XSANE software on your Linux for scanning with the printer connected through usb cable.

I hope this information has been helpful. Thanks.

Plant Vs. Zombies run in an ubuntu( Linux OS)

I have been installing OS for windows and Linux. But I have a problem running online and offline games in linux flatforms.
I am fond of playing offline games too. Since Our clients in the internet cafe' requests PLANT VS. ZOMBIES game be installed in the other units having ubuntu OS 8.10 client desktops.
Just make sure when you have installed the ubuntu it must be accompanied with WINE INSTALLER in order to run the exe. file of the Windows design Plant Vs. Zombies. Copy the folder of the Plant Vs. Zombies files and then paste it in the desktop or home folder of the Linux OS.
Right Click the exe icon the open it with wine program installer. Then just wait for a while then the Plant Vs. Zombies game will load in a linux Program.

Enjoy Playing Plant Vs. Zombies in Windows and Linux Program.

Good Luck....

How to activation camera in ubuntu os

UBUNTU is a linux open source OS. Chances are your camera doesnt have a Linux driver and wasnt designed to operate under Linux. The website http://www.ubuntu.com/support/communityis the user support community for UBUNTU.. I would post your question there for assistance from someone with a similar model for your laptop. There is also a selection for real time chat support from other UBUNTU users. I have checked DELL website under your unit and it was made to run the Windows XP system so there are no Linux drivers available directly from Dell.

I need help with making my operating system which is linux ubuntu compatible with microsoft video games.

there in lies the problem, you can run most games made for pc on ubuntu using wine, but if you don't have the correct display driver your fps will be horrible. there is also an app you can get made specifically for certain games called Play-On-Linux, apt-get install playonlinux. they also have a website, so you can try and google it

Installing drivers

Can you give some additional info on what you are using for OS. In general the ATI software for Vista will install with no problem right from there website.

If you have jumped ship for Linux, then there are different issues with each distro. I currently use Ubuntu 8.10 and it comes with the ATI driver. It will recognise the hardware right after bootup. Other flavors like Fedora 9,10 are not as easy.
