Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?

I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.

  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.

  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.

  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.

Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:

  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

IMitsubishi 62525 timer light blinks green and won't turn on

Try a system reset by unplugging the set and waiting for about 3 min then replugging it in. If this problems persists contact mitsubshi for technical support, I have replaced entire signal board chassis for this same problem, they will run you through a few common things to try using the front panel buttons.

Flashing green light

Did you try this yet

SYSTEM RESET
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control
or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off,
press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item
like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off
and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one
minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may
turn on the TV again. Changes you made the last time
the TV was On before you used the SYSTEM RESET
button may be lost, however, the changes you made
previously are not lost.
POWER/TIMER Indicator
The green light is a multi-function indicator. This light
will flash rapidly for about one minute each time the TV
is plugged into the wall electrical outlet, when power
is restored after a power failure, or using the SYSTEM
RESET button. Do not attempt to turn on the TV again
during this period. Wait for the flashing to stop and
the light to turn off, before attempting to turn the TV
on. While the TV is powered on, the light illuminates
steadily. If the TV has been programmed to turn on
automatically using the Timer feature,

Blinking green timer light on front nearpower button keeps blinking, tv will not turn on, unplugged for 24 hours and tried again, also hit system reset and still nothing.

Thats a common problem when the caps on the DM need replacement. They will function fine untill power is interupted then the set will not complete the boot sequence when power is reapplied and the led will just continue to blink. Hers a link to the kit that will usually repair that issue the kit comes with instructions.

TV won't turn on

There is a failure in the scan amplifiers, and or the power supply. This will require trouble shooting by an experienced TV tech who has access to the service manuals and know the set.

There are many components in the set that can cause this type of failure.

Did you not take an extended warranty???

This type of repair is not low in cost to have done.

Green power light will not stop flashing and tv will not turn on or off

You need to replace the 1000uf capacitors on the DM board thats the classic symptom of the DM caps being bad the light continues to blink repeatedly. If you need more info on the repair let me know.
